They had tails which were the blue color of the water that almost blended in with it, but their scales were sharp razors all over that cut my skin each time it brushed past it and their fins were blades that cut sharply and quickly across the water. They had rows of their teeth in their mouths and their eyes were black and beady on their gray and decaying skin. "What are these creatures?" I asked Bloom in fear as they swam at high speed because they didn't seem like mermaids to me.
