She reared back, overrun with terror as a shape began to form in the darkness; the face of death himself staring back at her. The dark menacing figure smiled, producing razor-like fangs. She stumbled as the creature laughed, losing her footing on the padded floor. Elika fell back, landing with a deafening thud on the ground. All sound faded from the room as she stared up at the beast, its true face shielded by the darkness.

She leans in close and sniffs me, her long tangled grey hair tickling my nose. Hearing a demented laugh explode from her, I inwardly cringe while she raises her head and peers at me with the scariest eyes I have ever seen. When they look at me, it's as if I am peering into a deep red abyss, so terrifying that I could only ever imagine it in my worst of nightmares. Her face is grotesque and when she laughs again, I see two teeth. Those two teeth though, look razor sharp like fangs.

I shut the window immediately, locked it and ran to the bathroom and locked it too. Luckily, there was no window in there so I felt a bit safer.
