Inhaling her scent slowly sent his mind reeling with desire. Nadia immediately attempted to push him away after the kiss. What did she just do? Kissed a vampire that’s what! He’s our mate.. her inner coyote whined. The consistent pushing didn’t budge the vampire pinned against her. The blackened iris began to scare her but it was when fangs revealed that she squealed entirely. “Get off me!” She growled, ready to shift again. Damon then held her against the wall by her shoulders, ignoring her pleas. His face inched closer to the nape of her neck, then in an instant Nadia felt a burning sensation fill her body.

I felt hot tears roll down my face as the memory of Ava's painful death flooded through my head like it happened yesterday. I was there. It all happened too fast but I stood and watched my fiance get crushed by a red truck while she tried to help a pregnant lady cross the road. Vampires of my kind were blessed with uncanny abilities to read minds, hypnosis, unfathomable speed and strength. I had all these abilities but I couldn't save the only person I had ever loved. I felt a burning sensation deep in my chest and I clutched my shirt as the burn spread down my stomach.

She apparently had a dream about an attack on campus.” “Okay?” “That same night, there was an attack on campus, and it happened exactly how Ruby described in her dream. It was one of the new vampires that was in isolation,” he continued explaining. “What? She saw it coming??” I asked, unsure I was hearing him correctly. “Yes,” Alberto confirmed. “I’m pretty sure the goddess had gifted Ruby with a gift.”

What else is there?” Mary looked at Damon as though he was truly insane. “Well vampires, witches, warlocks and elves… mind you most of them are almost extinct except for those damn vampires… those ones just multiply quicker than we can exterminate them.” Mary laughed and laughed. “Oh and my fairy-godmother is going to swoop in and turn me into a princess to right?” She shook her head… ‘he really must be crazy” she thought.
