Scarlett’s POV The attackers brought an old, battered lorry rumbling up the road, and one by one, they ordered us to climb into the back. The sight of it sent a fresh wave of terror through me. I couldn’t bear the thought of being taken away, disappearing into some dark fate with these cruel men. My hands shook, and silent tears streamed down my face as I clung to a desperate hope—my mates would come. They had to come. When it was finally my turn, I tried to resist, hoping to buy a few more precious moments. I began to cry and pleaded, but Marvin’s patience was short. With a flash of anger, he lashed my back with his belt, and pain exploded through me.

She brushed away the excitement of communicating with Kaden mentally, and picked another question. “One time, a force had dropped a brown book on my bed, when I was still living with my stepmother. The brown book was written in languages I couldn’t understand. Except at intervals, weekly, do I see English written on it; mostly an instruction. But then it had been stolen. I think the vampire had stolen it, on one of those nights. Or the red beast I see in my dreams.” Mary sighed, and walking toward the door, opened it and looked into the night. Storm believed that she wouldn’t be receiving an answer then.

*** “This is your mate?” Mary’s eyes ran over Ryan. “Clearly a man but also clearly pregnant. What is freakier than that?” She drawled. “A pack full of freaks.” Mary began to laugh. “If I stay here for long, I might become a donkey or something. “Mary?” Sally gasped just as everyone began to chuckle. A donkey stood where Mary stood a second earlier.

As I start washing my hair Mary comes over and scrubs my back for me. While she was looking at my back. “You know, you have a rather attractive body. There is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. It’s not like you’re covered in scars.” When she said that I started thinking about the past and asked “How did you get those scars? If I was to guess they look fairly recent.” I should know, I have the same haunting past. Mary stops scrubbing my back and proceeds to help rinse out my hair. After the soap is gone she grabs my hand and pulls me towards the bath. I reluctantly follow trying to cover my breasts with my free hand.

“You’re welcome to come with us. It’s too dangerous to be out here by yourself.” “You’ll take me to Wolf Fang?” “The hell—” “Yes,” Mary said. “Lower your weapons.” Jake hissed. “This is a dumb decision, Mary. She could be in league with those vampires.” “If they’re hiring young women without pants, they must be desperate.” She sighed. “The girl smells like she just got done rolling around with her boyfriend. Do you really think that she’s in league with vampires?” Mary shook her head and smiled at me. “She and her boyfriend probably just got spooked while traveling. Poor thing. Come on. I hope you’re not too tired… Maybe we can find you some proper clothes.”

To make things worse, the scent of metal and blood was growing more pungent when I followed Mary past the main corner, and I couldn’t help shuddering when I vaguely heard screams. Mary stopped in her tracks and we traded glances. I saw that her face was pale as well, and that she was staring nervously deep into the tunnel with fear in her eyes. There was a quiver in her voice, as if she had already seen what was in that cell. “M-My father is a very cruel man… He likes to perform certain horrific experiments. You must prepare yourself.”

and then. She cant remember. Mary started panicking in an instant. The place is so dark. Was she kidnapped or something? She tried to get up and felt the exhaustment within her body. Why do she feel so tired? Shrugging the feeling off. She started roaming around the room, still cant see anything but luckily, she found a door. Mary opened it and scanned her surroundings. The place looks old and dirty. She tried walking some more and gasped when two men, who's in military clothes was going to her direction. Her instinct kicks in and immediately hide on the wall near her.

The only thing Mary got was a long meow as she slinked away. “Stupid cat.” Mary had walked up to the built-in bookcase. She pulled the false book from the shelf and watched as the ancient steps appeared that led up to the attic. She took her time as she climbed the stairs. The first things she saw was a table that had been in the family for years. On the table lay different pieces. She looked over her strange items with pride. There lay random pieces of the many demons that she had gotten rid of.

Tommy's POV As we get out of the van, I can see that we are at the harbour, and this time I am starting to worry. Can Mary be right? Are we on our way to be executed? I do not know what I'm going to do if we are going to get executed. I am too young to die. I do not want to die. They're taking us to a yacht, and now I'm panicking. Are they going to feed us to the sharks? I want to scream for help, but somehow I know it's not going to help. Everybody who is standing around the yacht or is working on the fishing boats pretends not to see us. Is the story true that nobody wants to see or hear anything when the men in black suits take you out to sea? Is Mary's story true? Surely it cannot be tru
