It feels like something under my chest are about to explode. The surroundings are so blurry and the next thing I knew is my back hit something before darkness subside my consciousness. ### Amira's POV I excitedly scan my newly bought book from the bookstore lately. It's all about paranormal stories. It was so thick as it consists of different paranormal stories. Since I get so tired of reading cliche romance stories, I have tried out reading horror again since I'm fond of it as well. As soon as I opened the first page, it excites me after reading first sentence.

She wasn’t scared. Hesitantly Laura walked up to her knelt beside her leaving a respectful space between them enough not to startle her. She told the child. “I didn’t expect to see you here” Silence. Silver eyes stared at Laura. The girl slowly closed the book slowly and oddly tilted her head in an odd way. Old soul. Laura noted. Laura glanced at the book“Tale of Moon-born wolves”. “I loved that book, especially the one about the wolf who talked to the stars.” Laura whispered

He swung one long leg over the bike and walked toward me through the downpour, with water streaming off his black leather jacket and helmet. My heart pounded so hard that I could even feel it in my throat. I began to remember every horror story I had heard about strangers on dark roads, wondering if I was about to meet some kind of horrific fate. What if he was a serial killer? Were they going to find my body on the highway? Or probably in some water filled ditch after weeks of searching? Despite the fear and the haunting thoughts, I rolled the window just enough to hear him over the rain.

In 1983 a Mrs Carson of New York was laid out in our coffin, presumed dead of hear disease. As mourners watched, she suddenly sat up, alive as you or I. Sylvia said to the Library attendant. About what? The man asked. Wolves and Witches. Roxanne said from the other side. Shut up, Witch. Sylvia snapped and turned to the attendant. I'll prefer TRUTH OR DARE. Sylvia said and the attendant shrugged.

As the stories got scarier, I noticed a few of the younger pack members huddling closer to their parents, seeking comfort and reassurance. Soon, it was my turn to share a story. Feeling the weight of the moment, I cleared my throat and began my tale. "In a small village, there was a haunted mansion. It was said that the spirit of a vengeful witch roamed the halls, seeking revenge on anyone who dared to enter her domain..." I let my imagination run wild, conjuring spine-chilling scenes and mysterious characters. The pack leaned in closer, their eyes wide with fascination, hanging onto every word I spoke. The suspenseful atmosphere made my heart race with excitement.

“Were these any help, detective?” “I’m afraid not,” I said, defeated. I was in a bit of a daze after staring at projected newsprint on the dim screen. I leaned on the desk and looked around the building absentmindedly until my eyes finally settled on a small sign hanging on a table covered with a neat stack of books. “Warning: The Library is Not Responsible for Nightmares!” I read out loud, walking over to look at the books. Well-worn volumes with pink skulls grinning back at me from stickers on their spines. Dracula. Frankenstein. The Invisible Man.

Hadwin said naming the story that changed my life forever due to the King, but Darren only shakes his head in response. “No, it’s a book called The Gruesome Tales, it’s a bunch of gruesome stories comprised into one book. It’s there a story of these flesh eaters live. It’s said there is only one person that can save us all from these creatures, this person is a werewolf like us but was born with amazing powers. It’s said she will go to battle to defeat these creatures and save everyone.” He smiled retelling the story he had read, but for me, this only resembled a nightmare, it was explaining my life.

I think I won’t be interested in this since I have no love life or whatsoever. ‘To The World I Wish…’ ‘Reckoning Love…’ ‘Mystery Caller' ‘Untold Secrets…’ ‘Unfolding Secrets…’ JUST WHY THE HELL DOES IT SOUNDS SO SPOOKY?!?!? “Alright let’s look for other books to read...” I tried to calm myself just to not let me feel the spookiness in the titles of the books I saw. A very interesting book caught my attention. Unlike the others, it was… handwritten.
