Meet me on the third floor stacks. Wear a skirt with no panties underneath, and don’t be late.”

"Is it so scary?" Hana asked Henry curiously. Henry's panicked expression was accusing him, his face pale, his eyes unbelievably panicked. Hana stood still, waiting for Henry to settle down, and asked, "Is that store scary?" Henry said fearfully, "It's a store for the abandoned. Those who entered it became criminals of the entire Quansi continent. Hana, the fact that we came in here will spread all over the place," "No one knows we got in here," Hana reassured Henry.

“What kind of story would you like me to tell you?” “Well,” he said carefully. “Maybe not too scary because when I go to bed, I will be thinking about monsters the whole time. And if it isn’t a little bit scary, then I won’t be keen.” The boy looked up at Ed from the shadows by the door, where he was now waiting. “Do you know any scary stories?” “Yes,” Ed replied, rising from the couch. “Do you know any stories about The Critters?” “I don’t think so.” “Those are the best stories,”

The university library was nearly empty at 9 PM on a Thursday, exactly how Mara preferred it. She'd claimed her usual spot in the back corner of the third floor, surrounded by towering shelves of forgotten literature that nobody bothered with anymore. Her psychology textbook lay open in front of her, but she'd read the same paragraph three times without absorbing a single word. The quiet was hypnotic. Just the distant hum of the heating system and the occasional whisper of pages turning somewhere far below. Then she heard footsteps.
