As her fingers brushed against them, a cold feeling ran up her arm. The writing inside was the same as the journals. Runes. Symbols she couldn’t read. But this time… it wasn’t just words. There were illustrations. And the moment her eyes landed on them— Her blood turned cold. The drawings were horrifying. Creatures with twisted horns, long claws, and wings that looked torn and unnatural. Their faces were distorted, some almost human… but not quite. Their eyes were drawn with such detail that it felt like they were staring right back at her.

For the first time ever, I wanted to hide that gory image away from someone but she had seen it already before I could stop her. I flipped the next paper, and froze. I looked over at him sleeping soundly on the bed and looked back at the drawing. Why would he draw this? It was an image of a lady with a red cloak. He had colored her with red. Then she was surrounded by green bushes. There were small rocks around the area. But what caught my attention the most, was his illustration of the pool of blood on the floor and a small child drowning in it. It was definitely the nightmares. I flipped through the other papers and saw other strange but similar drawings. A red eyed owl. An old house. And the last one was a drawing of an ancient Greek symbol. I couldn't place what it was.

Tabitha’s POV We take turns sketching across the stone wall, passing the marker back and forth. We layer over each other’s drawings like we’re trying to outdo the last. Reed snickers while drawing an alien with three eyes and a meteor shaped like a dick. And then, there’s also something he claims is a “space wolf,” which I honestly think is quite cute. It’s the only decent thing he drew. We keep laughing until my stomach hurts and I’m wiping tears from my eyes. I lean over the narrow window to catch my breath.

It is clear that we have once again met our match by some unknown creature. Very unknown to us, but something which I believe the Windchaser boys have dealt with. I do really find it horrific the things that they deal with. Here I worry about a Vampire that is throwing its toys out the cot, where these two see things that one can not even sit and imagine up yourself. So as we all stare in anticipation at this man that seems to find this exciting, I am near damn ready to slap him.
