Pada tahun 2280 dunia sudah memasuki era digitalisasi. Seluruh umat manusia memiliki avatar di metaverse. Populasi manusia yang meningkat tajam menyebabkan tempat tinggal manusia semakin menyempit. Arun memilih hidup bebas dibandingkan berbaur dengan elit-elit kaku tersebut. Arun suka bermain balapan liar di metaverse dan berteman dengan Gurem, julukan rakyat jelata di Metaverse. Kehipan Arun berjalan biasa saja, walaupun kadang ada naik turunnya tetapi secara keseluruhan, kehidupannya berada ditingkat yang hampir membosankan. Sampai suatu ketika, terjadi booming Bugs di Metaverse.
