Determination sparked in his eyes as he retraced his steps back to where he had found the alcohol. His Dark brown eyes scanned the store, searching for any signs of suspicion. His gaze settled on a door tucked away in the corner near the fridge. Frowning, he approached the door, his curiosity overpowering any hesitations. The door was slightly ajar, revealing a small hole that allowed a glimpse of what lay beyond. Taking a deep breath, Scott cautiously pushed the door open, unsure of what he would find on the other side. But as the door swung open fully, his eyes widened in shock at the scene that unfolded before him.

It shook a bit, but not like a normal door. Reinforced? Seriously? Was she expecting an army to burst in here? "Fuck this." Marco twisted the locks and jerked the door open. "No, Marco!" He took one step over the threshold. The man on the other side of the door froze, his eyes wide, right arm pulled back as though he were about to swing at the door again. "Who the fuck are you?" Scott stared, wide eyed. It was probably the most expression the man's face had seen in a decade.

Dom opens the door with a key Chana cut for us from the housekeeper's keyring eleven days ago. The housekeeper went to a yoga class in Middleburg and her keyring spent ninety minutes in a locker. The key to the door went on a little trip to the locksmith with Max. We’re in the pantry, which leads to the kitchen, which leads to the back hall. The back hall leads to the library. There are three doors between us and Scott. We move through all three of them in under fifty seconds, in stack order, Dom point, me second, Saint third. The door to the library is the only one that’s closed.

They were all clearly originals, and I got lost in it all as I kept wandering along, not really sure where I was but not really caring. I turned the corner and finally noticed where I was—near Scott’s room. I could tell because I was staring right at a painting that screamed Scott. It was a black-and-white beach scene of two palm trees crossed and storm clouds on the horizon. Just like Scott, it was both beautiful and dangerous. I heard the sounds of rushing water and figured they had an indoor water fountain. I rounded the next corner and headed for the cracked door. I stood in the crease of the door and my body froze.

I am in no mood to be second guessing things like this and besides if I am wrong we could easily get the door fixed. “Go for it then.” He says, as he steps out of the way. I take a step back and charge the door, throwing the full weight of my body on it. It does not budge on the first go. This bruises my ego a bit as I now have to step back and charge at it again. This time Scot decides to join in as we both charge at the door. Hearing the door break brings a bit of relief to both of our faces, as we push it open and make our way into the apartment.

But just as we approached the hallway, I saw him— Scott— pacing in front of my door like a lion in a cage. My heart skipped a beat. Why was he there, in front of my room? Then I noticed something worse. The door to my room was wide open. And inside… security men were tearing it apart. “What the fuck are you doing?” I shouted, running forward before Ivy or Nina could stop me. Scott stepped in front of me and tried to block the entrance, but Ivy didn’t waste time. She moved fast, her fist slamming hard into Scott’s face. He stumbled back, groaning and holding his jaw.

"She's dead as soon as she opens the door for them! Paolo will snatch everything he sees, Quinto will throw open all the windows to attract the zombies, and Marco will force her into giving up her supplies at knife point!" "And when they eventually kill her dog in the end, that good-for-nothing Valerio will still be too damn scared to even make a peep!" However, if I didn't open the door for them, all four of them would die outside my door. "Gemma Barletta!" Valerio pounded on the door again. "The zombies are right outside! You heard them! Hurry up and open the door!" Paolo also threw his weight against the door, making the door shake and rattle even more loudly than before.

“No, not really. After everything I have heard so far, it will be interesting to really see you fight.” We hit the landing and he reaches around me to open the door before I can even move for the handle. His scent envelops me again and I am hit with a wave that lands straight in the nether regions and makes my stomach flip. I need to get away from him and handle this. “This really is your super secret door. Is this how you get late night hook-ups in and out without anyone noticing?” I see we are in the Alpha hall and just across from his bedroom door.

Scott gripped my arm and dragged me into the house. “You’ve been spying on me, I see. Doesn’t matter, I have you now.” He guided me upstairs. He moved me too fast, and I felt faint. After healing Paige and shifting to fight off Scott’s goons, I used up every ounce of energy I had. I needed water and something to eat to recover. Scott stopped in front of a door at the end of a hall. He jammed a key into the hole and kicked the door open. “Wake up bitches!” Scott barked out a laugh. “I brought you a new friend.”
