Sitting on the grassy bank was a charming, whitewashed stone cottage with smoke curling lazily from its brick chimney. Beside it stood a glass greenhouse filled with vibrant, blooming winter flowers, their bright pinks and deep purples glowing against the green glass panes. As we stepped onto the gravel driveway, the wooden front door of the cottage burst open.

A meticulously trimmed fig tree spread its lush canopy beside the entrance, offering cool shade over a smooth stone patio paved in pale marble tiles.

The cottage's dark exterior allowed it to sink into the shadows. Silver accents, a glinting chimney, a shimmering door handle, and a delicate filigree of metalwork around the windows hinted at the magic within. A winding path, barely visible through the underbrush, led to the cottage door, which was adorned with a silver knocker in the shape of a large infinity symbol standing diagonal.

As we rounded the final bend, the cottage came into view, and I gasped. "Cottage" was a laughably modest term for what was actually a miniature castle crafted from gleaming stone.
