A Thousand Lies

A Thousand Lies

So I place the razor on another cut and slide it. I slide the razor vertically, watching it open other slashes. I sit in silence as hot tears wet my face. My bloody fingers slip off the razor, forcing me to stop my self-mutilation. I try my best to wipe the blood off my skin before wrapping a bandage over my hip. My hands shake as I secure the wrapping with medical tape. I carefully pull my pants back off, trying my hardest to ignore the stinging. My focus goes back to the razor as I place it under the mattress, not bothering to clean it off.

The Devils Game

The Devils Game

I answer, telling him half the truth. I never told anyone this apart from an old worker, Jenette. I would hurt myself. I don't know why but I did. Knowing that Vicktor would hurt me I felt so unworthy as if I deserved to feel the pain so I would do it to myself. The first time I did was the third time Vicktor raised his hands on me. I felt everything and nothing at the same time. I remember the day as if it was yesterday. A younger me rushed to the bathroom, searching the cabinets until she found a needle. Confused and hurt to why she has the sudden thought to hurt herself, convincing herself that she deserves it. That she deserves the pain. Pricking the sharp needle into her fingertips watc

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

A book came out along with his hand, both fully intact. “The Courage to Trust,” by Dr. Franklin Reed. He had to be joking. There were hidden cameras here somewhere, I just knew it. No fucking way was the god of wolves cracking open a self-help book from the mortal realm. Sure enough, he fanned through the book eagerly, skipping over several chapters in the process. The tip of his tongue appeared from between his plump lips. He found the page he’d been looking for and quickly skimmed it. With a satisfied hum, he chucked the book behind his shoulder where it was swallowed up by that strange, shimmering magic.

Absolutely love this book, couldn't put it down. I've honestly read it more than once haha. Any chance I can buy it in paperback? This is a great book, give it a chance you won't be disappointed. Love the characters, love the book, love it!

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.

The Alpha's Caregiver

The Alpha's Caregiver

In the end, the inquisitive one won but first, I listened for footsteps and when I could make out none, I got off the bed and went for the book, flicking its first page open. The only person who could give me a book was Zena but it was also weird, what kind of book it was. It wasn’t the usual one we both read and enjoyed. It was some sort of self-help book and its title was even more weird. “Kicking trauma’s butt with style!”

I Killed Myself, but I Did Not Die

I Killed Myself, but I Did Not Die

I'll move out. The last thing I did that night was taking the confession letter I had spent weeks writing and burned it in the fireplace. I watched the ink melt away, vowing that the only thing I would sacrifice this time was my love for him And then, I packed my luggage. To leave him for good!

Wretched Self

Wretched Self

The place of devil. My hands were shaking so bad because or nervousness and fear at the same time. I do not know how to calm myself. The mere thought of myself fighting for my life is already making my system weak. The thought of Fin planning to murder me was like already killing me. The thoughts were making my heart break into pieces. It hurts.

Selling Myself

Selling Myself

The ache in my wounds deepened. I stood before the mirror and pulled off my dress. The reflection showed raw, red welts and bleeding cuts crisscrossing my body. I remembered how, even the smallest scratch on my finger was enough for Joseph to fuss over. He would clean it himself, wrap it carefully, forbid the maids to take over. And now, I picked up a damp wipe, awkwardly twisting my body to clean the gashes. The sting of the alcohol was sharp. I leaned against the chair back, biting my lip, afraid to breathe too hard through the pain.

THE SILENT LUNA

THE SILENT LUNA

Running on the internal mechanism the external one had built. The companion document was not about dismantling the external mechanism. It was about something harder. Recognizing the internal one. The formation running in yourself. Seeing it clearly. Without self-punishment. Without denial. Just seeing. As information. The lamp. Turned inward. She read the six pages. They were not polished. They were true. The interior account of what it looked like to see the formation running in yourself after you had left what had built it. Written by two people who had done it.

To Avenge My Ex, I Married A Tycoon

To Avenge My Ex, I Married A Tycoon

He had actually instructed someone to fly to the nearest bookstore on the mainland to buy it for him today. He only managed to finish one third of the book as he could not muster up the courage to finish the rest. In her book, she talked about her childhood, the leftovers, where and how she got the scars on her body, her experience of being bullied in middle school, and her fangirling stories. She was upfront about her past with the hope that it could be a warning to everyone who read her book. However, Alban did not have the courage to finish it because the more he understood the misery that she went through, the more he blamed himself.

Michy, I love your writing style and this story. You are a talented writer. Hilda and Nathan are my favorite book characters. I love the love they share and how they care for each other and others. Thank you for the shout-out in Chapter 897. I am so honored. And you're right about Anthony. :-)
