(Marcus’s POV) So uh… Apparently I learnt something new today. That is, to not eat three cups of instant noodle and passed out to bed. The reason I said this to, well, myself of course, was because of the fact, an odd fact, of me waking up in a forest in the middle of the night. Even a mentally unstable person know this isn’t the reality, but I was caught astounded. I am probably among those people who wished to have a lucid dream; experiencing the joy of gaining control inside your dream and do whatever you wanted for a short amount of time, everyone just needs that.

he murmured, reaching out to brush a strand of hair away from my face. I looked around the room, confusion and uncertainty gripping me fiercely as I took a step back, retreating from him, needing to regain my bearings. I still half expected to see the half-naked version of myself hiding in a corner or emerging from the bathroom, but it was impossible. I would have seen her move from the bed. "It's a dream..." I whispered, the truth finally becoming clear as I sighed with relief. I had lucid dreams fairly frequently, so it wasn't uncommon for me to register that I was in a dream. The realization was reassuring, but I still felt a little strung out, the encounter with myself leaving me shaken.

I disregarded it and snuggled into the seats once more, ready to sail into another dream planet. The tugging continued, followed by a man's voice that sounded suspiciously like the driver. "Small oga, we don reach house. Shuo! You dey sleep like person wey don die. Abi you don die?" There was a long pause in which his last statement was enough to slip me out of dream land and into reality. A loud yawn slipped past my lips before I could stop it. The stretch that followed, released the tension from my shoulders and body. When I deigned to open my eyes, the driver was standing agape, looking at me with wide bulging eyes.

Lilan's POV For the past few weeks, I've been having these strange dreams, they were so vivid that it felt like instead of dreams they were realities, or rather, memories. And every time I wake up from them or even think about them my head would start throbbing so badly, way worse than when I totally get wasted. and ever since then, I've been taking these pills to help with the throbbing, though it did help me momentarily, it would suddenly make these daydreams about sorcerers, werewolves, and some dark lord shit and my head would start throbbing again from it.

If only she knew. I had never said a word of it to anyone, but over the past few nights, I have been getting strange dreams. Lucid dreams that felt so real that I woke up with ice-cold limbs. I didn't remember them once I was up, but the phantom feeling of their occurrence always remained. How could I explain that to anyone? And anyway, they could actually mean nothing. But what if they mean something? I pushed the thought into the deep recesses of my mind.
