Serpent And The Wings Of Night Series Novels & Stories

“You were meant to finish what I began. The Order fell, but the god beneath the roots still calls to its blood. You are that blood.” He shook his head, voice breaking. “You used me.” “I gave you power.” “You cursed me.” She smiled. “Is there a difference?” Her words coiled through the clearing, and the shadows surged, swallowing the light. For a heartbeat, I saw faces—men, women, wolves—all bound in chains of bone. Their mouths opened in silent screams. And at their center, a colossal shape stirred. The Serpent God. The White Serpent’s voice became a hymn, echoing through the forest. “Rise, and remember your blood.”

The once bright meadow dimmed upon the looming shadows of the gigantic wings of the serpent that once brought havoc upon the very heart of the Ambivalent World. Darkness grew in every heart of those who witnessed the bringer of chaos stepped foot onto the land of the beings loved by nature. As an answer to its roar that shook the branches of the great forest and the ancient tree of Methuselah, gasps elicited from every corners of the Ambivalent nomads followed by the gnawing fear of death that the winged serpent brought.

"This area covers magical bloodlines, noble families, cursed names. If it’s real—or was—it’s probably here." "Thanks." She gave me a curious look, then left. I turned to the shelves. Titles etched in gold, silver, iron. Some had no titles. Just symbols. A serpent. A wing. A sun. I pulled out a book: Forgotten Houses of the First Night. Sat down. Opened it. Read. And kept reading. Time passed. I didn’t notice how much. One entry made my heart stop: Seraphin: A bloodline born of flame and light. Lost. Hidden. Rumored to hold power capable of resetting balance in the age of shadows.

Seras is a sunrise with fists, she punches straight through three soldiers at once, armor blazing so hot their armor melts off them mid-scream. Lucian is the storm itself, wings wide enough to blot out the citadel’s shadow, lightning chaining from soldier to soldier until the sky smells like burnt ozone and terror. Kayo opens nine portals at once and steps out of all of them, tails lashing, foxfire blades carving soldiers into confetti. Rowan stands on the roof of our dorm, book open, speaking one calm sentence in a language that makes reality hiccup. Half the Sky battalion suddenly forgets how wings work and falls screaming into the void.

he cries. I lunge the knife into the left side of his stomach. He screams in pain. I did it again on his upper right. “Help! Mum! Dad!” Lockie screams. “Goodnight, sleep tight.” I whisper. I quickly slash his throat and leave. I head back to Dead Man’s Woods. I’ve completed my revenge for now. Until someone else crosses paths with me I’ll stay hidden. Saunders house: The front door flings open and the security lights light up. A young boy runs out covered in blood and keeps collapsing. He holds his hand to his throat and the other on his stomach.

My chest heaved in distress and before I can open my eyes, a gentle whisper stopped me from doing so. “Wait for me,” was his last words before I felt him go away in a lightning speed and all I heard was the rustling of the leaves and some growls and grunts which I don’t know where it’s coming from. I kept my eyes close and remember what I always do. My heart flutter and I felt my eyes getting misty as I utter a short prayer to God. “Please save me from all these scary beings, God. Bless the kind vampire with strength so he can defeat the cruel werewolves. Keep the both of us safe, please.” I silently sobbed and felt the warm liquid gushing out of my eyes.

She rolled, ducked, and weaved through its relentless assault, retaliating with precise strikes from her silver blade. The serpent's scales bled black venom, staining the ground beneath them, but Edna refused to yield. Belial, witnessing the hunter's tenacity, grew frustrated. She summoned more serpents, their numbers overwhelming. Yet, Edna fought on, her movements fluid and purposeful. With every serpent she dispatched, she grew closer to her goal. Finally, with a mighty swing of her blade, Edna severed the head of the colossal serpent, its lifeless body collapsing to the ground with an earth-shaking thud. The room fell into an eerie silence, broken only by the sound of Edna's labored brea

I say, turning her face to me. Whatever I was about to say, falls away as a tidal wave of lust blasts through me. I turn to see Cyryl getting up from her nap where she was laying curled up with Bynjym. She hisses at him, then leaps into the air. She’s barely off the ground when Bynjym roars his intent as he, Thyyd, Yttyc, and the other bronzes all leap into the air after her. Cyryl is rising to mate. **This story will continue in The Dragon Rider: Book Two of The Dragon Thief Trilogy.

He looked at me in terror. “You’re eyes!” he said to me. He took steps away from me. I walked away from him. I felt a voice inside of me again screaming in pain. Pain for a millennia of torment. Pain of Celenia, pain of Gabrielle, and pain for myself. It urged me forward. I walked towards edge of the cliff that we were resting upon. I could see the entire battle down below. I saw Rudolph, and all the family members he brought with him engaged in battle with everyone that hurt me. I saw to the left the horizon. A whole new group of vampires charging in. I recognized Silas’ mother and family charging in. She was quick and lethal as she took Marcus Hofer from behind and tore his head off.

Forgotten swarmed in endless waves, shadows wrapped in metal and flesh, their cries like knives tearing the air. Lucien’s chains burned white-hot as he cut a path through them, every strike precise, every motion shaped by centuries of battle. Ashar’s blade roared with fire, his movements a storm of destruction, cleaving through creatures faster than they could rise. Riven tore through the air above, wings a blur of steel and light, raining death on the swarm. Sethis stood beside Mae, his hands weaving sigils so dark they seemed to drink light, ripping shadows into blades that shredded anything that breached their line.
