From Shadows, Emerging Tides

From Shadows, Emerging Tides

The water beckons, promising coolness and escape, and she finds herself eager to push off from shore despite the preparations still ahead. A seagull descends from the bright blue sky, its wings spread wide as it hovers just above the water's surface. The bird soars gracefully, nearly grazing the gentle waves below. Melody watches, momentarily forgetting her discomfort as the seagull's reflection ripples across the bay. There's something hypnotic about the creature's effortless movement, a freedom she finds herself envying. She wishes she could feel that unencumbered, that light—unburdened by the weight of expectation pressing down on her shoulders.

Shadowbound Flame

Shadowbound Flame

“Who.” The air dropped in an instant. Breath froze in their lungs, every candle guttering but never quite dying. The chamber seemed to fold inward, as if the walls themselves bent closer, pressing down on their ribs. Then, with a groan that echoed like bones breaking, the seal cracked. From its heart spilled shadow — but not like theirs. Not crow-black. Not familiar. This shadow was older, heavier, soaked in memory. Its edges gleamed red as if dipped in fire. A feather emerged. Long. Brittle. Stained faintly with blood.

Shadows of the night

My skin is extremely pale and my eyes are significantly sunk in like something just sucked the life out of me. I struggle while walking but make it to my bedroom. I lock the door and lay in there hoping to escape this nightmare.

THE SHADOW BRIDE

THE SHADOW BRIDE

It’s something older, something that’s been watching me from the moment I stepped into Gatlin Hollow. The water begins to churn, as if something is rising from the depths. I can feel it in my bones, this unnatural cold, this force that pushes against me. I gasp as something dark and heavy breaks through the surface. It’s a shape—an outline, shifting in and out of focus. A figure, almost human but not quite. Its face is a blur, as if it’s struggling to form, like it’s not meant to be seen.

“But traveling to Vaeloria Isle in eight days is risky. We need to explore every option to disrupt their ritual without leaving the mainland.” Maya Swiftwind’s stormy grey eyes were glued to her laptop, her fingers pausing as she frowned. “I’ve been digging into Nightshade’s network,” she said, her voice taut. “Their communications mention sentinels guarding the stone circle. We could infiltrate their territory, sabotage the ritual site, and gather intel on the Heart without crossing the Silver Sea.” Kira Frostfang leaned forward, her turquoise eyes sharp. “My cousin in Frostbite says Nightshade’s patrols are heavy near the circle, but there’s a hidden ravine to the north. We could slip in,

However, his self-doubt held him back, deeming the notion somewhat foolish. Fate intervened as both Natasha and Louis found themselves stepping into the same elevator. Louis joined her, keeping a watchful eye on her as Natasha remained focused on her anticipation of the upcoming swim. Unbeknownst to Louis, Natasha was aware of his lingering glances, yet she continued her aquatic pursuits unperturbed. After the elevator ride, Natasha, draped in a towel, settled on a sun lounger, her personal assistant by her side.

Shadows of the Lost

The driver then activated the scanner of the carriage and extracted some energy from him. There were levels in terms of shadows and with each upgrade, it acquires a color. There’s a shade of pebble-black, midnight-black, sable-black, and obsidian-black, respectively. Each level-up means additional thousand to their bank account. The system was pretty tricky. They’re converting a shadow’s energy into currency and using it to acquire basic needs, which was why the levels of shadows increase and decrease day by day. “Happy?” said George after he unsummoned his shadow.

The world building is well-crafted and just by the narration na hindi gumagamit ng deep english words, it really brings the reader in the world of the mc. Prologue pa lang, one can tell the mc is someone strong-headed and even though she lost her memories, that characteristic didn't change.

honestly, I'm not a fan of fantasy but Z's character is just damn! I'm imagining her like a goddess. Also, I'm very amaze on how the story is being written. Can I have your intelligence? You're too great, I swear! Reading this story is a must! Looking for someone named George now HAHAHA

he snakes his tongue in excitement as he wriggles his fingers on his handgun “No he’s not, you trigger-happy bastard. Anyways, it’s not weird. There are people blessed with the gift of controlling shadows. I believe they call themselves Shadow” “Interesting. I can’t believe such amazing people exist” he giggles Shane lights another cigarette “They are far from amazing. Back when I was a teen, I took up a job offer to kill a pregnant woman. It should be an easy job I thought but she could control Shadows” he blows out smoke

Shadow Pact

It reeked of impending madness; the opening yawning before him like an omen. William stared in as the group walked by it on their way to the next room over. Inside this one was a solid silver slab with chains hanging from the edges where the arms and legs of the victim; him, in this case; would lie. Under the slab was a metal funnel to drain the bloodshed. His bloodshed. Above the slab was a huge grate of metal spikes. The spikes were approximately a foot in length, which guaranteed they pierced all the way through the body from the front to the back.
