My sight was not heightened anymore because I still couldn't connect with Sable. So I couldn't figure out who the male was apart from the fact that he was staring directly at me. I could sense the sharpness of his gaze even from a distance. Who was he? Before I could take a closer look the boat took a turn around the cliffs and the strange man disappeared. It was near the evening when we reached the nearest port of the city of Jorda. Father had said that Shadow headquarters was somewhere underground and on one of the islands. I just had to find it.

We stopped a few feet away from them and then the old men spoke those damn words. “Ombra di morte.” (Shadow of death.) The old man said as I took the hood off. I knew what his plan was the moment he wanted me to suddenly assist him with training. never did that at home, why here. The woman looked surprised and the men, well they looked displeased, irritated, aggravated and enraged . Because again they expected the shadow of death to be a man and not a woman. “Liyah.” The old man called out to me.

“That fire won’t take it down before it reaches the wall.” Eolan’s shadow stirred at his feet, sensing the urgency. “Then I’ll take care of it.” Before anyone could stop him, he vaulted down the inner stairs, boots crunching into the snow-covered killing ground between the gatehouse and the inner wall. The enemy saw him—shouts rang out, arrows loosed from the tower’s upper platform. He called the shadow up like a living shield, arrows vanishing into its shifting darkness. He sprinted toward the base of the siege tower, shadow tendrils latching onto the axles, the supports, even the frozen ground beneath. With a wrenching pull, the shadow tore the forward wheel assembly free.

I feel them tear into my flesh and I scream trying to climb back up the tree but there are too many and soon I am defending my neck and organs as they try to kill me. Suddenly, I hear a car honking as the world begins to go black. I wonder if Z has found us. Has he decided to save me? The Shadow Beings growl and turn toward the car, following it but I feel so weak. I try to hold onto the world- knowing they will back, and I will have to defend myself once more but I can’t. Everything begins to go black as I say my last words. “Maddie..I love you.”

No matter the obstacles, they would face them together, their love a beacon illuminating the path ahead. Just then, a low growl cut through the stillness. A figure emerged from the undergrowth, cloaked in darkness, its eyes glinting with malevolent intent. "So, the lost Moon Shadow pup returns," the figure snarled, its voice dripping with venom. "And she brings with her the downfall of Silverwood." .

"Hold position. Let them think we’re blind." She leapt down, shifting mid fall, landing in Shadow’s form, fur rippling, claws digging into the wet earth. She moved silently through the trees, the scent of rot and blood hitting her nose before she saw them. Two rogues, thin and ragged, pacing at the edge of the clearing, sniffing the air, testing the boundary. Shadow’s eyes glowed as she circled them, silent, patient. One rogue moved closer to the trap Loki and Luca had set, sniffing at the bait.

Crimson's POV "So….some…one…. someone….is….is …. lurking…in the …. Dark," Katrina said in between coughs, I turned and saw a shadow moving round. "I….can…..can….. feel……it….we …..are …..not …..alone ….. in….this…room …right….now," I said, coughing heavily. "Let..let me …try to open …the door," Leon struggled to move towards the door, "it's stuck, it's not ….. opening."
