She was so weak yet she still put on an act by wearing a fierce expression. "What are you doing here? Are you here to see what a terrible state I’m in? Or are you thinking of pushing me again?" Sharon stood at the foot of the bed. Her eyes were looking into Sally's calmly. "I'm just here to visit you."

My smile dropped at the woman who stood frozen with her eyes wide in shock, she was staring at nothing in particular with a mixture of sadness, fear, confusion but most prominently anger in her grey eyes. Her expression caused everyone’s smiles to drop; I took a step closer to her and placed my hands on her shoulders. I looked into her wide eyes and felt Shadow stir restlessly. ‘What is the Shadow? Shadow’s agitation was affecting me. ‘Mate!’ I was taken aback by her reaction; ‘Shadow, this is Tatiana not D-’ I cut myself off and swung around to look at Devin. I looked into his confused eyes and was met with grey eyes strikingly identical to those I stared into just seconds ago.

Her hair rose at her nape as she felt the disturbance of energy in the small trail. Samantha knew those who were in hiding were not humans for their distinctive scents gave them away. When she heard that they walked out of their hiding spots, Samantha turned to look at Caleb, the Alpha of the Shadow Pack; Xavier, the former Beta of the Shadow Pack; and Arthur, Zack’s older brother and the Gamma of the Shadow Pack. When we all retreated from the town and headed back to the mansion we got dressed immediately and noted down everything we saw and even drew a map of the town the way we saw it.
