Luna by Contract, Mother in Secret

Luna by Contract, Mother in Secret

Shadows of Destiny The courtyard of Darkfang Keep was a graveyard of silence, the air thick with the metallic tang of blood and the faint hum of the relic still clutched in Elara’s hands. The loyalists’ bodies lay scattered across the stones, their rebellion snuffed out in the shadow of the blood moon. Its crimson light throbbed overhead, a heartbeat in the sky that quickened Aria’s own pulse. She held Rollan close, his tiny frame pressed against her, his soft whimpers cutting through the stillness. Then it came—a howl, low and mournful, rising from the earth itself. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and the torches lining the walls sputtered, casting fr

Being sold To The Highest Bidder

Being sold To The Highest Bidder

From the ground emerged ethereal chains, wrapping around the ornate chest, pulling it into an abyss. Dupree, his instincts kicking in, shouted, "Get ready! We're not alone." And from the shadows, emerged figures, their forms ever-shifting, their intentions clear. They were the Shadows of Time, entities that had lost their way, and they had come for the chest, the Thread of Destiny, and us. The shadows moved with a fluidity that defied nature, their forms flickering between solid and ethereal, making them unpredictable adversaries. The air grew colder, the energy denser, as they closed in on us.

Shadows of the Past

Shadows of the Past

Golden arrows slowly emerged, timidly trying to chase away the shadows of the night. The great fire disc made its appearance. First, it emerged as a red line growing wider and wider until it rose victorious into the angelic blue sky, ready to stretch its arms over the whole earth. It tamed its color slightly, becoming comforting as it shyly soaked up the night frost with which you would think it was soothing its own color.

Alex opened the book Damian had given him in his library. It looked very old and dusty. Alex felt something strange about the book, as if it was calling him to read it. On the first page of the book was written in big letters: "Traces of what once was... Clan Echelon: Past, Duty and Destruction".

On the other hand, Hector didn’t grovel enough, I might be petty… After regaining her memories Kaia knew that Alora and Hector rejected one another, but if I’m not wrong she wasn’t actually made aware of this fact before loosing her memories, nor after.

I like that the general plot twists are unexpected , but some plots are lost, others unresolved. It's a good story that needs a better proof reader or editor and needs to finalize one story before moving to the next, it reads like a daytime soap opera.

The First Mate

The First Mate

"They showed no signs of magic, but it did not stop a poisoning or two kidnappings that ended in death." "The Shadows were designed after the last death over three hundred years ago." She looked at me then, her eyes glazing with the ethereal weight of Cordelia. "After the demise of my child, I laid waste to the Clans who harmed him. She created the Shadows, allowing them knowledge of us, so they would one-day know their duty to the Goddess. A duty so many failed to do when it was purely right!" My chest shook with sadness for her, wishing to comfort her.

Lovers For The Blood Moon

The shadows seemed to seep into her skin, draining the warmth and life she once radiated. Behind them, the shadow that was once Clint stepped closer, the crown shard glowing fiercely in his grasp. His eyes were no longer Clint’s they shimmered with a cruel intelligence, cold and alien. “You don’t understand, John,” the shadow hissed, voice like a serpent’s whisper. “The Hollow isn’t a curse. It’s a promise. A destiny. One you’ve been blind to until now.” John’s grip tightened around Sarah’s waist, his knuckles white. “I decide my own destiny.”

the Lycan king said. He picked up his laptop and went out. Soon, I heard the sound of his car engine driving away. I heaved out a heavy sigh and closed my eyes tightly to feel in my surroundings. Thanks to the moon goddess who gave me a second chance to live. I walked out of the spiritual room and opened a dark brown door. It looked dark inside, so I moved to turn on the switch. I was really astonished because of how beautiful the room looked. There were lots of books of different genres.

Maybe, just maybe, her destiny was only beginning. Outside, unseen and silent, shadows moved in the distance. Eyes glimmered, scanning the horizon.
