Shard Metal Sonic Novels & Stories

She roared. Joshua is looking at Mel in shock. Clearly, he didn’t know his sister had a talent. He nodded, and Jaxon was crying. The fear in his eyes breaks my heart. I can’t look in that window right now. I can’t bear to see how Jude may look right now. Mel claps her sonic boom once, and the walls shake…twice, the brick around the doorframe cracks…thrice, and the frame is broken completely. On the fourth clap, the door falls to the ground, and Jaxon snarls viciously, as does Joshua.

⛏️ Chapter Twelve: The Descent into the Silver Veins The air in the disused mine shaft hit us like a physical weight—damp, metallic, and cold. The familiar scent of earth and granite was overlaid with a strange, subtle hum that made the hairs on my arms rise. This was the source of the Silver Wolf Pack’s ancient magic—the ground itself was rich in trace lunar metal, a faint echo of the Shard's power. It was protection, but it was also a homing beacon.

Activating its powers again, the halberd set loose a sudden surge of purplish-gold brilliance and the destructive beam shot at the Human King of the Chamber. Bong! Bong! The Human King took out a little drum and pounded hard on its face. The little drum shone like a diamond as it rumbled, and the air quivered. Boom! That shattered the purplish-gold beam fired by Chu Xun's halberd and the sonic waves came crashing like tidal waves. Sonic wave attacks?! It was the sort of attack that Chu Xun would always find cumbersome for it deals damage directly to one's soul. The sonic waves came like an unstoppable tide, falling down trees and tearing them into chips and flakes with terrifying efficacy.

The air shimmered, distorted by heat and magic. She dismounted, her boots sinking into scorched soil still warm beneath her feet. Ahead, the crater steamed , wide, deep, and glowing from within. Sienna stepped forward, drawn by something she couldn’t resist. At the crater’s center lay the shard , a massive fragment of translucent crystal, humming with the same pulse as her wrist. It was beautiful, terrible, alive. Her fingers twitched. She should have feared it. Every instinct screamed to stay back. Yet the closer she drew, the more the world seemed to fade , sound dulling, color draining, until only the shard remained, a beacon in the void.

A group of six Reapers immediately turned, their sonic cannons humming to life. "Target acquired! Fire!" The sonic blast hit with the force of a freight train, but it never reached Caspian. Jade stepped forward, raising her hand. The air in front of them crystallized into a shimmering wall of refracted light. The sound waves hit the barrier and shattered like glass, falling to the ground as harmless vibrations. "My turn," Jade said.

I raised my free hand, my palm facing the ceiling where the sonic dampeners were mounted. "Enough!" I screamed. The silver light exploded in a radial wave of pure, concentrated energy. The sonic dampeners didn't just turn off; they disintegrated, the electronics melting into slag. The warehouse went silent for a heartbeat before the screams of the remaining Seekers began. Silas stood up, his eyes pure gold, his claws lengthening as the partial shift took hold. He moved like a blur of black shadow and golden light, clearing a path to the center of the warehouse. I moved through the containers, my tablet tracking the strongest energy signature. I turned a corner and stopped dead.

The ground beneath the sled turned into a liquid-grey grid, and the sky flickered from bruised purple to a sterile, blinding white. While the Vanguard engaged the Inquisitors in a frantic, high-velocity dance of shadow and light, Aris scrambled toward the Shard. It sat at the center of a mile-wide crater, a jagged monolith of "Raw-Silver" that hummed with a sound like a choir of a million dying stars. The air around the Shard was so dense with energy that Aris’s hair began to glow with a soft, violet bioluminescence.

And all she could do now was defend. She could see that this new attack carried twice the amount of power compared to the one earlier. And that meant that she couldn’t just handle this with her inner energy coat. So she countered with a skill she didn’t need to prepare herself to execute. A special skill much like Silver’s Distort. It was called Sonic Blast. Opening her mouth widely, she inhaled a sharp breath of air, and then violently coughed out this air. But what came out wasn’t a gust of wind. What was returned was a powerful blast that struck against Mane’s blades and did exactly what the skill was named – cause a blast!

You idiot! A frantic Xzavier, who had just shoved his wallet and car keys into a pocket in his pajama pants, stepped back in horror as he stared into his girlfriend's bright green unnaturally glowing eyes. All he saw in them was a deep hunger. Right before his eyes, Xzavier’s girlfriends shorts and underwear were torn into pieces as her legs morphed together into a long, slimy, dark blue fish tail. The baby started to cry even harder once Xzavier’s girlfriend started crawling towards him and the infant's crib. Xzavier drank in his girlfriend's new monstrous features; a maw full of sharp, dagger-like, teeth, gills on top of her collar bones showing through her wet tank-top, her tail, and long
