A couple of floors below them, inside the Advertising Department’s Control room, where the massive Central Unit machine slept, something was triggered and the beast breathed electric surges into its engines, revving it to life.
Above, in the meeting room, Daniel got a hunch. He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
“Could it be the lights?” Seven asked no one in particular.
“No, we’re on reserved power.” One of the Departmental heads said.
Olalekan stood there, unflinching, with his eyes still fixed on Q who still had the gun in his hand.
All the lights began to fluctuate, the systems and screens too. The power looked like it was about to explode then everything went dead.
