Reclaiming the Love We Lost

Reclaiming the Love We Lost

Lydia ran beside the gurney. Adrian walked on the other side. Noah turned his head slightly. “This feels dramatic enough for you?” Lydia sob-laughed. “I hate you.” “No, you don’t.” “Not now.” “Fair.” They disappeared through imaging doors. *** Waiting rooms distort time. Minutes became elastic. Monitors beeped behind closed doors. Staff moved in efficient silence. Lydia paced until she nearly collapsed. Adrian finally caught her wrist. “Sit.” “No.” “You’re shaking.”

THE BILLIONAIRES BROKEN HEIRESS

THE BILLIONAIRES BROKEN HEIRESS

Someone whose mind had fractured and was simply running on autopilot. "You need to let them work," the nurse said, more firmly now. "She needs room to breathe. You need to come with me." The waiting room was aggressively normal. Beige walls. Uncomfortable chairs. A television playing morning talk shows that nobody was watching. Magazines from six months ago fanned out on a table. The kind of room designed to be institutional and forgettable, except that it was where lives changed. Where people waited to learn whether the person they loved would survive or die.

Dynamic kiss “love has no limit”

Dynamic kiss “love has no limit”

The fluorescent lights of the hospital’s quiet waiting room hummed with a low, steady drone, casting a pale glow over the rows of plastic chairs and the vending machine in the corner. It was late—past midnight—and the only other sound was the soft ticking of a clock on the wall and the distant rustle of nurses moving through the halls. Taylor sat in one of the chairs, her hands folded in her lap, her eyes fixed on the floor. She’d been waiting for twenty minutes, her heart pounding with a mix of anxiety and hope, unsure if Himy would actually show up.

Her Deadly Revenge

Her Deadly Revenge

There had to be nurses checking people in. Maybe there was a list I could sign her up on. There had to be some sort of organization to this madness. But what if there wasn't? The thought scared the crap out of me. If we couldn't bring her here, then where would we go, and more importantly, how much time did Mom have left? I maneuvered and ducked my way through one crowd to see that the waiting room was packed solid. And holy crap, it stunk. Bad. Sick people were everywhere. Some were passed out on the floor and others were stepping directly on them.

I really got sucked into this book. It was very good. It has nothing to do with wolves, like the blurb above says. It's more like an end of the world type book. Wasn't something I normally read, but I'm glad I did.

The blurb and the title don’t match this book. The story is about a zombie apocalypse, a bunch of strangers that meet and their relationships that develop throughout. I thought the ending was good, but I would love to read a sequel for some much needed closure. Overall, it’s a really good book.

No More Waiting

No More Waiting

“Bleiz, by the time you see this letter, I will have already left. As for where I went, I don’t know either, but you won’t find me. As for why I left, the reason is simple: I don’t want to wait anymore.” “I don’t understand. How much longer do I have to wait for you to take me away? Will you one day lie to me and say that I have to wait for your and Mona’s child to grow up, get married, and have children, or wait until you’ve grown old with her before you leave with me?” “Bleiz, my youth is also limited. I don’t want to continue waiting for you based on an empty promise that has no end in sight. Let’s say goodbye here. We will never meet again.”

Billionaire Daddy's Little Artist

Billionaire Daddy's Little Artist

My blue-grey eyes stared back at me, asking, ‘What are you doing? As the doors opened, the elevator music turned into a lighter jazzy ambiance. The waiting room looked like something out of a magazine, with luxurious deep sofas, glass tables and gorgeous plants. My eyes immediately went to the generic contempo art hanging in the main room, an imitation Jackson Pollack—not half bad, but not my style. The receptionist, who could have doubled as a runway model, looked at me with her headset. “May I help you?” “I’m here to see William Shaw.”

“Of course, why don’t you take a seat over there and I’ll let you know when she’s ready.” Smiling back at her I tip my head and take a seat in over padded black vinyl chair in the far corner, pulling a kid's comic book from the well-stocked shelf to flick through. The waiting room is surprisingly cozy, with warm tan walls with pictures of the pack's infirmary and those that have worked here through the years in sleek frames on all the walls.

Their story is catchy enough although I could call it another variation of an abused female finding her savior! Islas struggle and trauma had me empathize her. Zac, he is a hopeful romantic for his mate. I'd say it is well written and leaves you hanging a lot. Read it ...!

Really good read, good story line and character growth. The ending did seem a little rushed for me but it was nice to not have it dragged out over 200 chapters. Only a small amount of grammatical errors. Overall well done

counsel added, “if anyone tries to move you into a separate room ‘for privacy,’ you refuse. They don’t get privacy. They get procedure.” I swallowed. “Understood.” The waiting room smelled like disinfectant and air-conditioning—clean, neutral, almost kind. A receptionist looked up and smiled the way people smile when they’re trying to be helpful, not harmful. A few patients sat with their phones out, scrolling. A TV played a daytime segment nobody listened to. Normal. For eight seconds. Then I saw the clipboard.

Secret Baby Of the Ruthless Billionaire

Secret Baby Of the Ruthless Billionaire

(Lisa's POV) The hours dragged on. Every minute stretched into an eternity, each second ticking by with an unbearable weight. The waiting room felt like a prison. I couldn't escape it. The walls seemed to close in around me, and the silence became too loud to bear. I clutched my hands together in my lap, twisting them as if I could somehow wring out the anxiety that had soaked into my very bones.
