Shadow Bound

Shadow Bound

“You think you’re the only one?” “You wound me, Delia,” Gray chuckles. She slaps his arm playfully, letting him know it's time to get serious. He straightens up, as all signs of amusement snap from his face in a split second and holds still while she goes to work on the chain in his hands. She places both of her hands a few inches above the metal and whispers some incantation until a low blue glow can be seen from underneath her palms. When the glow fades she moves her warm copper brown hands and sighs.

Chosen Mate

Chosen Mate

I placed my food on my lap and pulled my current read from the shelf behind me. There was something about cracking the book open to the bookmark that made all of my thoughts disperse. For three beautiful hours, my mind focused on the words on the page and the world they painted. I flipped the page as the library door creaked open. I lifted my head and watched as Shane came walking into the room. He scanned the library until his eyes came to a stop where I sat. The corner of his lip curled and he ran his hand through his hair as he made his way toward me. I turned back to my book and ignored him. I didn’t look up at him when I saw his shoes come to a stop in front of me. He kneeled down and o

She said this, standing on her feet. Going towards the corner, she stretched her right hand and started chanting some words in a foreign language. Suddenly, a bright purple light appeared above her and shone all over the room. It went silent for a while, and then she started chanting again, this time quickly and in a totally different language, which was like it was known to her alone. The light dissipated. In front of Harriet, Patrilia, Kelvin, and Peter stood a dashing old man, clad in an expensive black suit and leather shoes, holding a golden walking stick in his hands that shimmered under the room.

Blood of The Shattered Moon

Blood of The Shattered Moon

But something about the way the knife glows makes me uneasy. "What do you think?" I ask quietly. "I think there's a trick to this. The temple is testing us, and the obvious answer is rarely the right one." He studies the three objects. "Blood is easy but permanent. Memory we've already sacrificed. Pain..." "Pain is temporary," I finish. "But what kind of pain?" As if in answer, the vial begins to glow brighter. Words appear in the air above it, written in light: *The pain of truth. Drink, and feel every hurt you've ever caused. Every moment of suffering inflicted by your existence. Every consequence of your choices.*

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

Well, while I caught my breath. While Orion scanned our surroundings, peering through the narrow gaps in between each shelf to the maze beyond, I found myself looking over the books at our backs. There were tombs both big and small, thick and thin, bound in various types of leathers and fabrics. Some had thick layers of dust clinging to them, while others appeared almost new. Another shelf moved, opening a path directly ahead of us. Towards the bottom sat a book that glowed, emitting a golden light brighter than that of the torches. It pulsated, flickering and dancing, and I had the strangest thought that it was calling out to me.

The Book is Amazing! No need to debate, It's Jane of course it will be a masterpiece! I'm always fascinated in a multiple fated mates, aside from It's spicy lol, It also shows why someone is mated to many. Like what Orion said, Blakely fits them three; she can juggle Azrael's chaotic nature,...

I normally hate to spend the amount of money needed to finish the story faster. Because honestly I don’t buy real books for 50. Bucks. However, I really liked this story so I caved so bad. The characters are engaging and I really hated to see it end. Azrael will always be a sweet memory. Great work

Emperor Shadow

Emperor Shadow

Often, such relics fell on her hand, and often, she buried them underneath the sea. So how… Did these exact relics appear once again? She thought the ocean was supposed to be a mysterious place. “What is it?” “Shadow!” Both of them stood up, showing their claws. Throb. Her head was throbbing hard, but she must analyze the book first before her final verdict. She picked up the pen and the book. It was that moment. Shhhhhhh– The book and the pen glowed in red. Grrrr! Aidan growled, and Firash bared his teeth.

"I'm sorry to bother ye." Louisa smiled assuredly. "You never bother me Sheila, and don't you think you do." Sheila smiled. "Now, it's time for the book," she flipped the book open, revealing the title in bold. "Whoa---" they cried in unison, as the title 'Finding Your Magic Star' glowed brightly with grandiloquent light blinding their vision.

Although he can't leave here, like me, who knows what he gets up to in his spare time. "Not quite," he says, holding up the book so the cover faces me. On it, is the name Shinee in bright golden letters surrounded by dark tinted italic pattern swirling around like magic. It looks similar in configuration to mind. "It's a book, on your mate." I echo my thoughts, curious about getting my hands on it. "So, basically the same premise of mine? Isn't this like some kind privacy breach?" Damon shrugs his shoulders. As if he cares.

Light & Darkness: Book 3

Light & Darkness: Book 3

I thought of a spell I had recently learned from books. I took my book of magic from under the bed and from the dressing table drawer I took the pendulum my mother had given me recently. I cleaned all unnecessary things from the floor and spread out a map of Italy on it. I opened the book on the appropriate page where the spell was located and wound the pendulum's chain over my hand, holding the sharpened crystal hanging from its end just above the map. This item, when one uttered a spell, would locate anyone I could think of. The more I thought about this person, the faster and more accurately the pendulum would find them. So I started thinking about Oliver, more and more every minute, clos
