Friendship's Last Bite
I felt myself tumbling backward, the world spinning around me.
In that fleeting moment, my gaze locked onto Adam's through that narrow, cursed window, his expression a mix of urgency and fear. I felt the pain of teeth on my upper arm. Grunting in frustration, I ripped myself away and faintly acknowledged the tearing of Adam's shirt. I gritted my teeth as I swung again amongst turning and this time made contact. I didn't stop at one hit, though. I kept hitting and hitting as it fell to the ground. I stood above it, dazed, before throwing the bloodied brick at its head, just a tad bit too hard, and watched blood splatter on the cement.
