A few minutes later, he pulled away his hand, his face pale and his body badly sweating. No matter how many times he did this, he was still not used to it. A good thing was that at least, he no longer had to go through the ‘full course’. Not long after, Nathan’s eyes were only on the screen. Letters began to appear there, until the first sentence of the story was formed. The first part was then completed, then the second part, the third, until it became ten pages long. In just an hour, a short story was finished, and proofed. He only had to wait for Lucy to edit it.

That being said, here are some fun facts about this book; 1. It’s my first attempt at teenfiction. I was almost certain readers would notice and call me out on that. 2. BBTB was supposed to be a short story project. I was so worried it would be a flop so I planned to make it between 40-80 chapters. But the story grew wings and took off on its own. 3. This is the longest story I have ever written. I am just as surprised as you are and I was pleasantly shocked to see comments wanting their lovestory to go on for much longer. Those comments kept me going even on the bad days. So, thank you.

In other words, she allows me to whine on Jace and I love it. • Why the short chapters? When I first started writing back in 2018, I use to make MEGA long chapters and I mean, INSANELY long! My first book, Laws of the Pack, had an average of around 5000 words per chapter which lead me to have very frequent writer blocks since I had to constantly think of extra text or out of no where context to fill up the gaps. I have to keep expanding the outline.” “I would keep the article shorter than the report,” Victor suggested. “More people will read a shorter article. When most people see a lot of words on a page, they tend to skim the text or stop reading.” I nuzzled his neck. “I’ll write the longer report to be released to some outlets and condense the story for the newspapers.”

I like making my chapters at least 3k words because I pack a lot into one chapter and I am unable to do that with a word limit of 1500-2k (to keep my chapters affordable I need to keep them between that word count). This story is dragging on because I'm trying to figure out how to keep it at a good pace while also keeping the chapters short and sweet. I'm afraid I'll either make the story too fast or as I am making it now, too slow. I am unable to find a healthy balance and this story is starting to become more of a burden than a joy like it originally is supposed to be.
