Gemma Vivid images of the monstrous Arachne, its sharp fangs sinking into Stacey’s flesh and ripping her to shreds, filled my dreams like a nightmare on repeat. Her blood-curdling scream echoed in my mind, only to be drowned out by my own as I desperately shielded her from the creature’s attack. Stacey’s biggest fear had always been spiders, yet even in the face of this terror she was still trying to save me. She had always been the protector, but now it was my turn to be the hero and save her. My heart raced with fear and determination as I faced off against the Arachne, ready to do whatever it took to keep Stacey safe.

If the door was unlocked, they could have gone out and survived. I saw Jia glance at the empty seat beside me. I suddenly felt a chill. Dang. Don't tell me... One of their friends broke the chilling silence and scolded the storyteller. "Damn. Why are you telling such a spooky story this time? We are here to club!"

I had hidden in the small closet of my house, there I felt safe. "Are you here?" He stood in front of me. I know you're there, ”he purred. The door was ajar, since I didn't like closed places. I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts. I closed my eyes and slowly drifted to sleep. I suddenly opened my eyes to see some bizarre creatures coming towards me. I sat up and started moving back till I hit the tree. They did not stop coming, instead they kept coming closer. They looked really scary and they made some strange sounds as they came closer. “Please don’t kill me” I pleaded. One of them grabbed me by the neck and lifted me up. I did not know what happened, it happened so fast. All I knew was that something fell from my dress when he lifted me, and then they started to disperse one after the other.

The first thing Shaina notice is the nails holding her close in a little embrace, she isn't sure if the person likes long nails but it looks so long and kinda sharp like an animal claw but pretty too and scary 'what man likes long nails?' She question sure the body she's resting on is sure too muscular to be a woman, She turn completely to him and raise her chin up to see his face with pondering heart. This face! She has definitely seen it before and it looks more scary than the first time Shaina swiflty jerk away from him in big fright and fall to the ground in her attempt to escape his hold. "Go away!" she yelled at whatever this creature is convince this is what she has been running away

She didn't want to hear anymore of the frightening story. "Don't tell me you're all scared. It's a myth, I made it up!" John smirked, his eyes gazing at the scared faces of his girlfriend and friends. "Ha ha ha, scared? I've never been scared of anything in my life!" Rocky roared in laughter as he rose from the ground. "Scary stories don't scare me. I'm gonna pee!" He uttered still grinning. "Don't wander far into the woods, you never know who you'll meet." John warned in a playful but spooky voice.

Scarlett cried, before sniffing her nose. "How scary is it?". Amelia asked because she was tired of playing games with Scarlett. "It's very scary Mama!". Scarlett said in between tears. Amelia nods her head so that Scarlett can continue her statement. "Inside the school premises….. I do see monsters walking with their head on the floor, while their leg is in the air……. I do see some monsters changing into beasts, and they always come after me, while using a knife". The young Scarlett declared.

There is just something about the dark that is so scary. I might be a werewolf but those ghost stories do scare the hell out of me. I kept imagining seeing things as we walked through the forest. A tree that looked like a giant person, a short person with a big head and no eyes. ‘Ahhhhh, what in the world is wrong with you? You are supposed to be the strongest, bravest she-wolf but here you are being afraid of ghosts,' my wolf said and I chuckled. I did that to wake her up, she had been too quiet for my liking.

Each volume of Strange short stories will have 3 medium-sized stories and about 10 short stories. To make it easier to understand and more transparent, this chapter will be like a summary for this and the following volumes. Vol.2: medium stories: The antics of Bia's crew ( ABC) Bia comments on a crew of children of criminals, in an invisible ship. In this world full of magic, demonic beasts and restrictions, they live on the run, abandoned by their parents.
