Dear Reader Thank you for reading the first chapter of the book called, Hot Under Cover. Hot Undercover was originally written as an Interactive Story Game. I am in the process of adapting it into a novel form. The original version contains a great deal of dialogue to fit the platform for which it was intended. Though you can enjoy the story in its interactive format too as currently published. (eg when Aaron speaks, the format will be as this: Aaron ~ "Devan, I think we are damn lost.")

I'm shorter then most, im sickly thin and on top of that, I haven't sensed my wolf. On ones 12th birthday, they cant shift, but they can get a sense of their wolf. We are supposed to be able to interact with them, learn who they are, what their abilities will be, all that stuff. But I haven't sensed mine and I'm almost 13. ItIt'sjust another disappointment to add to the already long list of reasons my parents are disappointed. I asked again and smiled when she shook her head. “Good girl. So you will strip and sit on that couch while you fuck yourself in front of me. No sounds, understood?” “B-but what if I slip out a sound by accident? And what if they see me—” “The projector captures only this far.” I gestured from my desk to the window. “So you're safe. And if you slip out a sound by accident, that means more punishment because you'll be letting others hear what was meant to be just mine.”

Anna asks, her tone impatient but curious, eyes flicking between us like she’s waiting for someone to finally spill the truth. “Once upon a time, there was a—” “No you don’t,” Shaw cuts in, interrupting me with a smirk. “This isn’t a fairy tale, so it shouldn’t be told as one. Which is why I’m telling her the story.” “And you think you can teach Anna about the history of werecreatures better than I can? You’ve been a werecreature all of what… five minutes? You know what, Shaw? Go ahead. Impress us with your epic storytelling skills.” I cross my arms, smug grin in place, daring him to try.
