Silly Cats Novels & Stories

Neither did it have a soul. Sally scolded herself for getting her hopes up. There wasn’t a single living thing in Dunballan with a soul, even the birds and the animals were affected. Sally knew that she was just being foolish. She put the cat back on the ground. It swayed but remained on its feet, then carried on along the cracked paving stones, moving from pure muscle memory. In a few days it would probably be dead.

“I’m being nice.” And just like that, as if summoned by the sheer magnitude of our chaos, a voice sliced through the aisle, like the universe had decided someone needed a front-row seat to this nonsense. “Just so you know,” he said, leaning casually on the shelf, “cats have a sixth sense for emotional instability. They usually pick the messiest house to adopt.” We both turned.

The air hums—something ancient stirs beneath it. Then, in a single heartbeat, the sign comes. A shimmer of thought in the air. My lips curve into a smile. “Aunty Kerynna… you’re so adorable,” I whisper. “Come, Osric. We can move closer now.” Eight shadow-slick cats leap from the band, landing in perfect silence. We bind the planks in pairs across their backs, each forming a rough carriage. Osric still looks ready to bolt. “They’re being controlled by mind,” I tell him. “Don’t be afraid.”

Couchs sat against the large windows and a counter wrapped like a horse shoe in the back. "Go take a seat and find your kitten." He told her as he headed for the counter. Willow took a corner spot by the window, gazing around at the beautiful felines that roamed the room. From short haired to long haired. Maine Coons, Siamese, even a few Sphynx scurried about. Willow didn't want to seek one out, instead she wanted one to come to her. One that would recognize what she was and not run away. Like Tiki.

Her brows arch as though she was mocking me and I look away frowning. "You really are quite cute, Sensei..." grinning she gets up before disappearing down the hallway. I'm about to get up when a tabby jumps onto the sofa staring at me as its owner does. Great, even the cats laughing at me. Sitting down, I begin petting him and he moves onto my lap purring. And he's just as cute as his master. "He must find you annoying too." At the sound of her voice, I look up to find her leaning against the frame of the shoji doors that were now blocking the hall from my view.

Felicity perked up at the mention of getting revenge against Sophia. "How dare she call me a moron? Do I look like a moron?" She turned to Vermont and asked. Vermont's lips curled up in amusement. "You're more of a Munchkin." "What do Munchkins look like?" Felicity asked. "Hold on," Vermont said as he quickly pulled up a collection of cats on his phone. Felicity was elated to be compared to adorable creatures. However, she soon noticed something odd. "Wait. Why are their legs so short?"

he says with a chuckle pulling me up in his arms. "She's not a real cat, why does she act like it?" Seth the new guy asks why does he care? "She is a kitten, she's half cat, which means she acts just like one," Zane explains kissing the top of my head as I growled at him, just like Mathew taught me. "Come on little lion, let's go get you your bottle," he says taking me toward the kitchen and getting a bottle ready for me as I laid my head against his shoulder, I'm tired, but tomorrow I'm going to get to the bottom of this new guy's situation.
