It was already late hours of the afternoon as of now and we were slowly running out of time. "Okay I'm ready." Silver appeared around the corner of the living room of Earl's Manor. The baby sucked on her pinkie finger and a smile crossed the Goddesses face, then she knelt by the little maid, 'Rest my child, your duty here is done, when you wake you will be free from all the troubles and have earned your place at the Silver City.' A bright white light shot from her into the maid's body, she moaned softly, took a deep steadying breath and then lay still beneath the Goddess's hand she stood carrying the baby girl and walked into the night.

“If you think about betraying me, I will find you and kill you before the curse gets to you.” Donna walked to the stairs. “You can come down now,” she said softly. Farah was the first to poke her head out. She watched Silver with wariness. Before he opened his mouth, she snapped at him. “Not a word from you.” He smiled. “Yes, ma’am.” Vicky and Summer followed afterwards, holding hands. Silver’s eyes grew softer as he looked between his four nieces. “All girls,” he said, almost relieved. “You’re safe. If there was a boy, we might be in trouble.”

Then another voice spoke, softer, from behind the line of hunters. “Enough.” The elves shifted as a woman stepped forward. She was tall, her silver hair bound in intricate braids, her robes shimmering like woven starlight. Her presence was commanding, yet not cold. Her gaze fell on Kaelen, and something in her expression—sorrow, perhaps, or regret—made him shiver. “Lower your bows,” she ordered. The hunters obeyed, though reluctantly. The golden-haired elf frowned. “Lady Serenya—” She silenced him with a raised hand. “I will hear them first. If the boy is truly what I fear, we cannot let blind hatred decide his fate.”

Silver didn’t need to ask what it was—she had always felt it. She remembered the night she was born, the sky illuminated by a moon that had turned completely silver, casting the forest in an ethereal glow. Her parents, exhausted and elated, had held her close, their faces pale with awe.
