Silver Sonic 06 Novels & Stories

6 Years Later Samantha “Have you made a decision for Elixir 2.0?” Damon, a trusted advisor, and my personal secretary, was helping launch our latest product for the were community. Every member of the Newblood Pack was entitled to have a test run with each new product from Silverclaw Enterprise, among many other special benefits, before products were shipped throughout the states. Our next step after a successful launch of the latest? International. “I have, I’m thinking the theme should address it’s personal use for thought collection.” I pinched the bridge of my nose. “Something to make it like a familial memory board.”

It made a thrilling stop right at my rim, and I froze immediately. “Relax, pup,” Sylas groaned. My breath hitched sharply as the ice burned against my entrance. A strong, spicy scent flooded my nostrils as he circled my virgin heat. “We smelled the liquid silver in your wine the instant we arrived,” Sylas murmured, his voice as smooth as warm honey. My mouth was wide agape because they were not supposed to smell the liquid silver. The expert who my uncle recommended said it was scentless and I made sure of it.

There is no way a skin will remain intact with the friction it creates from the slightest movement. I developed some immunity to the silver in the past two years, all thanks to the rope with silver needles Nico and his men used to restrict me. I don’t know how but the effect of silver on my skin, though it stings, does not cause a lasting effect, even my wolf can ignore his discomfort for the contact. Not unless a liquid silver is pumped directly into my system, then Six should be fine.

"Are they hidden? Will he smell the gas before the bell rings?" "The floorboards are sealed with a temporary resin," Malachi explained. "The resin will melt precisely ten seconds before the match begins. The vaporized silver and nightshade will flood the western side of the ring instantly. The ultrasonic emitters are drilled directly into the stone pillars. They operate on a frequency only a dominant Lycan will register." Closing his eyes, a massive wave of relief washed over Ryan's tense shoulders. "Thank you, Councilor," Ryan breathed out.

I ask, my voice sounding like it’s being dragged over gravel. "June ran it in the lab," Silas answers, his eyes dark and dangerous. "I found the residue in the machine and ran it through the diffractometer. I think she’s being systematically dosed, Fen. I couldn’t even pick up her scent today. I think she’s taken more since yesterday." Valerius stops typing, his head snapping up. "Silver and Aconitine? That combination should have stopped her heart years ago."

The ingenuity and elegance of this technology left Joe in awe, and he was eager to learn more about the Smart Pearl Sonoclam and the wonders of Aqualeara's advancements in science and innovation. Nerissa gazes at the sleek Sonoclam, admiring its craftsmanship as she gently closes it. The small microphone piece fits perfectly into the center of the honeycomb-shaped speaker, and the magnetic closure secures it shut. She notices a small glass bump, like half a sphere, set into the metal shell just above the magnetic clasp, adding to the device's charm.

His broad shoulders blocked out the view of the window, casting a long silhouette over the two technical specialists who were currently adjusting the sound-card parameters on their Linux-based interfaces. Scarlett reached down, her fingers deftly turning the cold, grooved dials of the silver cipher pendant she had taken from Danny. With a small, precise click, the internal mechanical tumbling sequence aligned. A tiny, high-frequency pitch—barely audible to the human ear, like the whine of a distant cathode-ray television—vibrated from the small perforations on the back of the casing. "The analog signal is feeding into the auxiliary port now," the lead specialist muttered, his fingers typing

Watched them find my wrist. The Omega brand. His face didn’t change. He was very good at that—at keeping himself in a closed room. But I saw it in his eyes: the calculation arriving. The politics were loading up behind his gaze. A door swinging shut before the warmth had time to cool. The gold left his eyes. Slowly, then all at once. Silver came back. His step—the step he’d taken toward me—stopped. He stood in the middle of the room, equidistant between us, and he did not come closer.

"Valkyrie Two and Three, deploy Silvermist protocol. Blanket the target area." The other two drones swooped low over the ocean, their wings angling with impossible grace. They released a fine, shimmering mist from their dispersal pods, a glittering cloud that descended upon the churning water. The "Silvermist" was one of Katherine's more elegant and brutal inventions: an aerosolized silver nitrate compound, molecularly bound to a clinging agent. Harmless to humans, but agonizingly, flesh-meltingly corrosive to most supernatural creatures, especially werewolves and the magically summoned beasts they controlled.

"Yes. It is both. And more." He explained that the silver was not ordinary. It was from a secret mine of the Crescent Pack, treated with an old Alpha-grade shielding technique. "When you are close to it, it scrambles all basic electronic signals. That's why I gave it to you, it protects you from minor listening devices when you are outside. And it protects me when you are near the bug." He placed the device on his desk, then leaned close to me. The scent of his leather and power was overwhelming.
