The shadows twisted, forming larger shapes, massive wolf-like forms with eyes like coals, teeth bared and snapping. One of them lunged. Aria thrust her hands forward, silver fire erupting in a burst that met the shadow midair. The creature recoiled, then reformed instantly, faster and angrier. Another lunged, and Kael caught it with a sweep of his blade, the silver edge clashing against blackness that hissed like venom. “We cannot let them surround us!” Kael shouted over the roar of wind and the screech of shadow. Aria nodded, pushing her power further, feeling the pulse of the Moon thrum through her. “Keep moving. Don’t hesitate!”

POV: Ash Ryder "Get out of my way, you mindless filth, or I’ll paint this ice with whatever rot you have for blood!" Ash’s voice was no longer the steady, commanding baritone of the Silverfang Alpha. It was a jagged, raw snarl that vibrated with a terrifying lack of restraint. He lunged forward, his silver dagger flashing in a lethal arc as it sank into the neck of a Shadow-beast. The creature, a twisted mass of smoke and elongated bone, didn't even have time to hiss before Ash ripped the blade sideways, decapitating it with a spray of violet ichor that sizzled against the frozen ground.

“Silver—stop!” But she couldn’t. The power wasn’t something she was controlling. It was reacting. Protecting. The silver light burst outward again, illuminating the forest like moonfire. The shadow twisted violently as the light struck it. For a moment, the two forces collided. Dark magic against Luna power. Then the shadow recoiled. Taking out her katana, she lashed out. Spider took out her katana to block her opponent. Shadow pushed her before charging towards her. Spider again blocked her. “Nice move,” Spider complimented. “You speak too much,” Shadow smirked, pushing her. Before the other could steady herself, Shadow lunged forward and slashed Spider’s arm. “Focus on the duel first,” Shadow snickered. “Only one of us will make it out alive today.” “Darling, even though we are enemies, I don’t want to take you down,” Spider said, lunging forward. “I cannot take down my equal just because we are on opposite sides.”
