“Never going to happen.” Just as I’m about to turn away, Raquel grabs me by the upper arm. My shirt’s sleeve rides up an inch, exposing the bottom portion of my old tattoo. She frowns, a flicker of recognition flashing across her eyes. She doesn’t let me escape, moving so swiftly that I have no time to react. She pushes my sleeve up to expose the entire composition: a raven with red feathers and an arrow in its black beak. Her mouth falls open. “You’re a Red Raven.”

He’s been my little wingman through all of this. I scan the crowd again and spot the red and black. Of course Alice is Harley Quinn. I smile to myself as I walk over and look her up and down. She’s got on the classic Harley costume. Not the new one from Suicide Squad, but the black and red jester outfit that hugs her lush full curves in all the right places and makes my mouth water. Her hair is down, and the dark curls frame her face. She’s not wearing her glasses, and her eye makeup is heavy. She looks like a nerd's wet dream, and I’m having a hard time walking a straight line to her.

I ask her making her wince at the taste of aspirin in her tongue. "Nope. I've never been much of a drinker, you know that. I mean, a glass of wine here and there, but, not really the type to just go off and drink for a night." I chuckle, kissing her and laying next to her. "I see you got a new tattoo. It's in memory of your mom, isn't it?" I say, pointing towards the tattoo on her left shoulder. It was a beautiful cluster of flowers with a pink ribbon and the initials H.P. for Hailey Patterson.

I showed Jason the videos, and when he watched one of the videos, his narrowed as if he had noticed something. "What is it?" I asked with curiosity. "I think I know this tattoo, but I don't know from whom. Please take a screenshot and send it to me. I'll try to get someone to help me find the people with that tattoo. I might be able to have an idea of who the person is." I quickly did as he said and took the screenshot. I trusted Jason to find out who the tattoo belonged to because the guys who were beating Harper up covered their faces, and only one of them had a visible tattoo on their right arm that he used to smack Harper in the face.

I said as he pulled me closer and hugged me, slapping me on the back. “Let’s get you branded,” he said proudly and smiled at me. “Any specific request for your Alpha tattoo?” Rory, the pack’s tattooist and a Zeta, asked me. “Lightning,” I said and he smiled as he looked at my arm when I took my jacket and shirt off.

My little escape for the night to be with my number one rebel partner, Ben. I padded across the room toward my dresser, opening a jar of lotion. The subtle scent of vanilla filled the air as I trailed my fingers over my arms, rubbing the cream in absentmindedly. My gaze landed on the small mirror propped on the corner of the dresser, catching a glimpse of the intricate tattoo curling along my collarbone. The mark. My mark. With a soft smile, I turned to face the mirror more fully, letting the towel slip just enough to reveal the dark, swirling design etched into my skin. I traced the lines with my fingertip, marveling at how something so permanent could appear so delicate.

My heart’s pounding as I pull my top down from my shoulder and look at Shane’s mark that is now tattooed over my shoulder; it consists of a shield which covers my shoulder. It has a sword upon it with an intricate hilt. In front of the shield is a wolf standing protectively. Shane… the shield of defence… He was ready to protect everyone, and he died a true warrior… I brush my fingers down my tattoo. Right beneath it, I had his name tattooed too. I look at Jax’s mark on my neck. It’s darker than Shane’s was. It consists of a thicket of trees, black with hues of dark green, and through the trees, you can see the dark silhouette of a wolf with yellow eyes peering out from between the trees.

Azrael and Hunter have the same matching tattoos. It is just an inscription in Greek. I begged my dad and after persuading him for months he allowed me have it. I replied the message. Guess I have a date this Saturday.

Tessa says, honestly, that she feels like her crazy pregnancy hormones are making her look like a bitch right now. "My childhood friend has changed," Hardin whispers in a small but still audible whisper to Tessa. "What do you mean?" Tessa knits her eyebrows together as she's confused by Hardin's words. Hardin pulls up the sleeve of his shirt and reveals the scar that Tessa once discussed. Not only that, Hardin also takes off his shirt, revealing the tribal tattoo that runs down his muscles to his shoulder. Right where the whipping scar was visible before, only because Hardin hated it, he tattooed the spot.

Justice is blessed with a rack I've tried not to notice for far too long. "I never noticed this before." A tattoo on her side, right below where the band of her bra sits. "Yeah." She grins. "Harley and I got them when we turned eighteen, but we didn't want Mom and Dad to see." "What does it say?" I cock my head to the side to read the script. "To infinity… and Harley has ...and beyond in the same spot on her. We loved Toy Story as kids." She shrugs. "I like it." "We wanted something important to us."
