The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

The Kind Villain: A Legend of Woof-Woof

This spell feels cold but the wind it blows whistles a certain melody that would tame the wolf. "Hessuel... he who resonates the song of your howl in the soul of your listeners, that is the meaning of your name. Hessuel, if you can hear me, come forth to my voice and extend your hand," I recited, then close my eyes while stretching my hand to him. The process of this spell includes diving into the thoughts of the wolf to search for that slumbering intelligence. However, all I see is pure darkness within him. "Hessuel? Hessuel... can you hear me? Hessuel?"

they chorused in unison Jasmine sighed. "El kish aris mal ria lis". Jasmine began the spell slowly, while Jabal supported her with his power. Her hair raised to its full length. She opened her eyes which have already changed from their blue color to red. Her voice grew louder. "El kish aris mal ria lis!!" Ariana joined her and they said the spell together. A little whirlwind showed up. They kept saying the spell until the whirlwind grew bigger and finally took them away. They landed close to a river. Jasmine looked around. "Is this the place?"

I kept reading and reading non stop. Had no idea I've come to the last chapter updated ?? This is an amazing book! I wonder if Rikas went back to time, and isn't there a way to stop his future from what Sofia had seen??

The Alpha's rejection

The Alpha's rejection

I guess it’s not that easy to perform such a powerful spell. I was about to turn the page and look at something else when small words at the bottom caught my eye. It was written in a different language but strangely, I could understand. THIS SPELL CAN ONLY BE PERFORMED AT ONE’S POINT OF DESPERATION. TO PERFORM THIS SPELL, SPILL BLOOD FROM YOUR HEART ON THE GROUND AND CHANT THE ABOVE WORDS THREE TIMES WHILE LOOKING AT THE MOON.

I can’t say enough good things about both books, & I have to admit that I loved Lewis’s & Ariana’s story just a bit more! Well written, great storylines and plots that were very vivid and descriptive, and incredible characters! I could “feel” every emotion they felt! Both worthy of a 5 ...️ ratings!

Great story, fast paced, and full of fun with a little sadness and some anxiety. These are all things I expect in a good book. I read…a lot. Many books are hundreds of chapters. So, often I look for a book that is complete with fewer chapters. This one fit the bill perfectly. Satisfying ending, too!

" Now, the Whispers of Enthrallment, which are a potent spell of mental domination, my last stop before practicising. I bring out the ingredients - a black raven's feather, a vail of moonlit water and a lock of my hair. Hilarious to think, last year, by this time, I was a Professor, now here I am learning the dark act of mental domination. With the ingredients ready, I start to chant "Stiny hluboke a duchove stafi Podej mi moc, temnou a smelou, Skrze spetana slova a zvracene umeni Svash jejich mysl, ovladnu kazdou cast" I scream as the words around my tongue is changed back. * Magic Spells An incantation, a spell, a charm, an enchantment, or a bewitchery, is a magical formula intended to trigger a magical effect on a person or objects. The formula can be spoken, sung, or chanted. An incantation can also be performed during ceremonial rituals or prayers. In the world of magic, incantations are said to be performed by wizards, witches, and fairies. Some spells are normal and work can be done by just chanting, the words, while some need a special sign to perform spells and some need special preparation to perform them.

Cruden Tale (Awakening spin off)

'Dolores inferni circumdederunt me deam talem die plenae lunae reversurus est lava me servum tuum et lux renasci. I recite it loudly, my spell cast chant taught at such a young age by the clan healer. Carefully, and clearly, as the light infiltrates my very soul, invoking my moon god to rejuvenate all my powers. Filling me up and bringing me back to feeling as though I have awoken from a satisfying sleep.

Moon-Scarred Vow

Moon-Scarred Vow

"He chose Lyra. He chose betrayal. And I… I have to protect my child." The Elder was silent for a moment, then nodded. "Then begin. Remember every step. Any mistake will have severe consequences." I took a deep breath, poured the moon-blessed water into the silver bowl, and sprinkled in the sacred tree ash. "By moonlight's witness, by bloodline's name," I began to chant the ancient spell, "I, Seraphina Moonridge, request the release of my soul's vow with Kaelen Nightfang." The water began to glow, the liquid in the silver bowl turning a shimmering blue.

The Wolf's Call (Book 1)

The Wolf's Call (Book 1)

“Please, don’t do this. It’s not worth it. Don’t pay the price.” Tears instantly blur my vision, blurring the terrible words on the page. I can barely speak. Isla screams in my mind, a chaotic, loud roar. "Don’t listen to the projections! Focus! Finish the spell!" I choke back a raw sob and force the final, burning words out, my voice shaking with grief and effort. The last line of the spell burns my tongue, bitter as the taste of blood. "...by shadow’s grace and light’s disdain, Return what’s lost, undo the chain.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Sang Spell by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor is one of those books that sneaks up on you with its eerie charm. It follows Josh, a teenager who gets stranded in the Appalachian Mountains after a bus accident. He stumbles upon a mysterious, almost otherworldly community called Canaan. The villagers live like they’re frozen in time—no modern tech, just folklore and superstition woven into their daily lives. The deeper Josh digs, the more he realizes Canaan isn’t just isolated; it might be a liminal space between life and death. The story blends Appalachian legends with a haunting coming-of-age journey, leaving you unsettled but fascinated.

What really stuck with me was how Naylor plays with ambiguity. Are the villagers ghosts? Is Josh losing his grip? The book never spoon-feeds answers, which makes the atmosphere thicker than mountain fog. The subplot about Melody, a local girl who befriends Josh, adds warmth to the eerie vibe. Her family’s secrets tie into the town’s curse, and their dynamic feels genuine—like a flicker of hope in all that gloom. If you love folk horror with a side of emotional depth, this one’s a hidden gem.
