No one in the room batted an eye at it, just accepted it like truth and enjoyed the stories. “Constable, I hate to interrupt; but are you saying all Royals for England were Lycans?” I had to know, a few cops snickering at the question, but Constable Myra just smiled and nodded her head.

My fingers brushed the animal's coat while I adjusted the bandage, and instead of snapping, he exhaled a hot, shuddering breath, his nose nudging barely against my flexed elbow with his dagger like teeth still hidden behind binds. I stumbled back, ripping off my gloves as it's head was held fully steady. Crimson eyes locked with mine, and an abrupt thought settled in my mind. An image I couldn't shake: those crimson eyes, not in a wolf's face, but on a beautiful man's. "This is insane" I walked towards the door while it bowed his head to rest, too calm for a predator. "What the hell is wrong with me?"

Out of nowhere, a bone arrow sliced through the air and struck his chest with a sharp hiss. The arrow, upon contact with Jim's blood, glowed a sinister red. His face contorted in pain, and suddenly, his grip failed him as he plummeted from the sky. I dashed forward, my heart racing, and leaped to cover Jim with my body. The Haunts erupted into mocking laughter. "Jim, we've taken apart the bones of the mortal who wanted you dead and crafted them into these arrows. Take one more step and we'll pin you down in front of your own troops!"

Bowing his head Gerard looked very pale, he was not wanting to tell the King this but he had no choice. "Your Grace we have a problem." Zephyr's eye's narrowed, and he slowly got out of the chair he was in. "What do you mean we have a problem." Clearing his throat, he looked at the King. "When one of the servants went to go down to hand out the meals to the detainees um.....we are missing four out of six of them." Zephyr's eyes got wide and his fangs were out. His voice bellowed loud in the manor. Alerting those in the whole house.

Crista smiled faintly and asked, "Why do you think so? You know Mr. Ding better than me, don't you?" Carla was surprised to hear her answer. She had worked for William for a long time now. Didn't she know him well enough? Was Crista the only one who understood William well? The thought caused a jolt in Carla's heart. Had she been wrong about it from the beginning? Crista looked down the stairs and saw a group of six cars stopping outside the club. More than a dozen men broke in the club.
