So basically he's like a shifter who can take a shape of other beings... Some of them can possess peoples bodies... which I suppose is why people often think of them as demons or witches.

I swiped my hands at the men who stood before me, making them hit the way of my office with a thud. They recovered quickly but I already got my gun out of my drawer by that time. I shifted back, my fingers wrapping around the gun properly. Good thing was, it was filled with silver bullets, one shot to the head, they were gone. The two of them looked at each other, their body morphing into their wolf form. Then I saw their eyes. Blood red. They were rogues from the Black Moon pack.

The thing wearing the uniform shifted again, a ripple running beneath its skin that didn’t belong. “Not entirely,” Arthur added, his voice tightening. “It's what they call a skinwalker. Bad news.” “What the hell is a skinwalker?” “It means you don’t want to find out.” “I’m not running away and leaving you here alone.” The creature moved again, lunging with a speed that forced the decision out of me before I could think it through. Energy flared through me, sharp and immediate, driving outward as I struck him, the force catching him clean and throwing him back into the patrol car hard enough to dent the metal.

I demanded. “That is a skinwalker!” he replied without explaining. He didn't need to. Every wolf knows what that means, it was a legend passed on for generations. If there is a skinwalker, right in its shadow, the blood suckers will thrive. If this is true, then we have a problem, a very big problem. Instead of heading to the entrance, Throgan headed further back, when he was about to reach the dead end he turned right and then put me down beside him. “Don't move!” he said.
