A succession of booming sounds came from somewhere within the suite. Yet, the sounds came to an abrupt end in less than ten seconds. All the men in the room were now lying in a pool of blood. Picking up a towel next to him, Tyr Summers wiped off the blood on his hands, then helped Snow Fenner put on her clothes. At this time, she was still in a dazed state. Tyr took out the silver needle he always carried with him and stabbed it into an acupuncture point on Snow’s body.

I looked on in rage as a bunch of black wolves attacked Alzaraq, bitting at his arms and pinning him down. "No!" If they win, it's over for us. It was so fast. A speeding wolf grabbed Snow by the throat, bitting at her neck and I watched as her blood spurted out from her throat. "NICHA!!!" As I fell into danger, Jake put up a fight, his limbs ripping. Despite being drenched in blood, he bolted toward me and pounded my attacker on the head. Blood spilled all over the concrete floor, either coming from Jake or the rogue. Anna let out a shriek. It was total mayhem. “Joey!” Anna shouted.
