She now felt a heavy weight on top of her, crushing her body against the bed. It dawned on her how similar this whole thing felt. Soon, she began hearing the unmistakable voice of Alvis cooing and whispering sweet nothings. Andrea froze and was able to let out a small whine. They assured her that he’ll never see the light of day. They said that he’d never ever be near her. So why was this happening? Andrea opened one of her eyes when it began to feel claustrophobic. She was surprised to see no one. It was hallucinations caused by her sleep paralysis.

I quickly got to work, replacing everything and fixing it just like we’d been drilled. By the time I fixed the last crease, my legs gave up, sending me right onto the bed. I wanted to scream but was too exhausted to get anything out. I simply gave in and lay there. In my subconscious, I could make out sounds at the entrance of the door. I tried to get up, but sleep paralysis wouldn’t let me. I’d exerted myself for too long. If it were Mr. Scott walking through that door, then I was completely done for.

God from when he got this stamina? I need to get up and do my morning business.. I get up with so much difficulty.. I entered the washroom and saw myself in the mirror.. Is this the girl who is watching me through the mirror is me? I can't recognise myself anymore.. My whole body is covered with hickeys.. My eyes are looking like I didn't get any sleep.. Well practically it's the truth I didn't sleep much.. It's not like I was a sleeping person. I was an insomniac but after writing my Stories I get some relief.. And can sleep well..

Epilogue: Now that I have written several of these stories, I find that my old ghosts have started to haunt my dreams yet again. It is amazing that once things are written down, they begin to take on a life of their own. Just remember, if you don’t want things to go bump in the night, don’t tell anyone else about them.

My body felt like it was about to give up on me, but I kept trying to break free from the paralysis, fighting to wake up and escape.

Thought maybe—” He faltered. “There were footsteps. The same footsteps that flooded my head when I met your uncle. Heavy, slow… I don’t know but I suddenly remember experiencing this before. I had frequent sleep paralysis before and there's always that footstep. I was awake when Red came in, but I couldn't move or speak.”

Picking up the puppy, I knock one last time and when there’s still no response, turn the door knob. Peeking my head in, I see that she is fine. She’s on the bed. I turn around to give her the rest and privacy she needs. “Hmm…” A sound comes from the bed. The puppy barks at this. Squirming to be let down and to investigate. “Ugh…” I turn back around, is she having a nightmare of some sort? Sleep paralysis is a real and dangerous thing. I’ve heard stories. I hurry over, not giving a damn about propriety.
