Victor nodded slowly. “Second,” she continued, “create a routine before bed. Same time every night. Read something light, take a warm shower, anything that tells your brain the day is ending.”
Victor remained attentive. “Third,” she said, “when memories come, don’t fight them. Fighting makes them stronger. Instead acknowledge them, remind yourself they belong to the past.”
Victor rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "And one more thing,” she added.
“Yes?”
“Spend time doing something that is not about responsibility. Not business. Not parenting. Something that belongs only to you.”
