She put her phone down and picked up her book and read the same paragraph four times and smiled at it each time. She was getting better at letting things be good. End of Chapter 20

Chapter 16 "Here," a boy smilingly said while handing me now the book that I was just reaching earlier from the top of the bookshelves when I finally faced him. Our position is so close to each other right now that is why I can smell how good is his smell and I can feel my heart just pounded because I am still surprised by what he just did. His beautiful smile was what I first noticed on him the moment I faced him. He has equal and color white teeth. His skin color is tan. He has a thick eyebrows, a color black eyes, and a Grecian nose. I forced a smile as I turned to a random page in the book that held all realms in it, all while I never looked away from Maverick. "I think we can have some fun." I stated with my fake smile. Maverick smirked as he raised his eyebrow at me. Did he think what he did to me was funny? I couldn't even concentrate for long periods of times without being bored. The boring room had me waving my hand. Color filled it almost instantly. The pale pink colors were more refreshing on my eyes and helped me concentrate better. He smiled and looked at her while leaning on the counter. “Well, I could say the same thing. I never saw so many Alphas in one place before,” He said and she smiled and gave him the book. Something about her was pulling him in and he didn’t understand what it was. “Well, what can I say? I brought all the Alphas in,” She said and he smiled. She handed him the book and smiled, he smiled and walked out. He knew that this bookstore was gonna be his favorite place as of now.

I growled. Apple tilted her head like a confused person and the sight was cute. Then she smiled. Her smile was so dazzling that the anger I was feeling was replaced with a light, fuzzy feeling. I placed my hand on my chest and sighed. I remembered in the book that Apple's smile and eyes had a sweet touch as the fairies called it. She could make anyone less angry or moody with those weapons.

She put on a smile again before she left. I observed her as she went to work. Her smile never once slipped. With such a charming smile, even the most irate of her customers could not help but be a little nicer to her. It was as if she moved with a halo that made everyone return her smile. Was this the power of the female lead? As expected, only evil people like Bella and I could be mean to someone with the protagonist’s buff. I hope that our little run-in didn’t run Sapphire off. Besides class, my gem has more or less avoided me. Karli has tried talking to me a few times since, but that should stop now. I ripped into her yesterday. I even made her cry, which I don’t feel bad about. She had it coming. If it weren’t for our class, I don’t think I would even see Sapphire. I smirk when I walk into the library. I see a head of blue hair hiding in one of the corners. I nod at a few people I know studying here as I approach her. The entire area in front of her is covered in books and papers. I pull the chair beside her, ensuring the feet scrape against the floor. Her face jerks up as our eyes meet.

HAYDEN There was something about seeing her smile that made everything else feel inconsequential.
