And for a few minutes Isabel watched him smoke, before a little sense of calmness returned to him. “Do you want one?” Xander offered her one with a scorned expression. He lifted his eyebrows telling her to take one. “No. You know I don't smoke…Xander”. Her voice broke as she replied to him. “Good, I don't like women who smoke either”. Xander knew exactly what he was doing, he was setting his rules and boundaries without her knowing. Rules that would ruin her. He started and zoomed off at high speed, the sound of his engine purring softly was the only thing that broke the silence between them.

There was no clear light source, so I didn't see anything straight away. I took out a cigarette, lit it up and breathed in the smoke before exhaling. A forbidden habit. Xavier hated smoking and one of his street fighting rules was no smoking. It ruins my health and lowers my chances of winning. I was aware. The sharp black-eyed man looked at the woman who was pursing her lips with a light snort. "What will I get if I throw this cigarette away?" Basic calculation! Bella shook her head slowly. I can't stop thinking about Stev, who is always as annoying as he is now. "Smoking can cause your health to be disturbed. Don't you want to live longer?"

I roll my eyes at him but put the blanket onto the seat before I climb inside. Em cranks the window down and lights a Camel before he starts the car. “Since when do you smoke?” “On and off since Junior High. I had rarely seen Xander smoke before, and the pungent odor of the cigarette made me squint. I turned my face aside and held my breath.
