Spider, seated in the passenger seat, leaned forward slightly, his eyes narrowing as he studied the dark tree line on both sides of the road. “That wasn’t here yesterday,” Spider muttered. Sarah, seated in the back, looked up from her phone. “What’s wrong?” Scorpion didn’t answer right away. His gaze swept the surroundings, too quiet, too clean. No animals. No passing cars. Even the wind seemed to have gone still. “This is wrong,” Spider said flatly, turning halfway toward Sarah. “Ma’am, we need to brace for impact.” Her stomach tightened instantly. “Impact?” Spider reached for the door handle. “I’ll step out and move it.”

I saw the spider behind her grow slowly into a giant spider and though I love my mate so much, I would really like to clasp her mouth shut before the spider becomes into a vicious one. Except that the third of the above mentioned things was not possible because I'm fairly certain that you're not a spider since the last I'd heard, spiders couldn't read. But even then, there were already a lot of strange things going on around this world so I wouldn't find it weird if I got a text saying hello there! I'm a spider. I leaned over the basin, gripping the porcelain. I coughed. It was a reflexive, dry hack, my throat still tight from the panic. Something came up. It landed in the center of the white porcelain with a soft, wet thud. I froze, the water running cold over my hands. I looked down. There, lying in the sink, was a spider. It wasn't a hallucination. It wasn't a shadow. It was a common house spider, its legs curled inward in a defensive posture, twitching slightly as it succumbed to the moisture.

Spider laughed. I closed my eyes. All I wanted to kill everyone present there, but I knew if I do anything wrong, I would lose my shona for forever, so I couldn't do that. I closed my eyes as I knelt and leaned towards the floor. I unwillingly rubbed my nose on the dirty floor and then got up. "Please! Spider, Greta. Please leave her. I'm begging you guys," I repeated my words. "Naah! I'll pass. I don't entertain beggars," Spider chuckled and then dragged Shona by her hairs.
