My pulse spiked. I turned. Nothing. Just empty streets. Dark buildings. Shadows. The soldier's face turned white. "No." His voice cracked. "No, that's impossible." Tears suddenly filled his eyes. The exact same thing that had happened on the fortress wall. The illusion. The manipulation. Someone dead. Someone he loved. Renn grabbed him immediately. "Don't look!" Too late. The soldier began walking forward. Slowly. Like a man entering a dream. "I missed you." The words barely escaped his lips.

Taddeo remarked, slowly sipping his juice. "I can’t believe you’re trying to make a comparison, Taddeo. Let me make one thing clear: I have never sworn love or fidelity to any woman. Quite the opposite—I always lay all my cards on the table. If they still choose to be with me, it’s not my fault. I begged, but it seemed like it was really too late. He slowly shook his head. There was no love in his eyes. All I could see was anger and his persistence to get rid of me. I sobbed. I stopped and ripped some part of my long sleeve shirt and tied it in my right arm, where my love left a deep wound after fighting with me with his sword. I made sure that the blood had already stopped, then I found myself weeping. Stupid feelings of mine, my heart was stabbed by a hundred knives, what a fool I was. “Stupid! Why are you crying when you didn't even really love me and betrayed me? Taking them, the soldier did a quick check. "We have some business with some soldiers in Zone 9," Rebecca says, "Recruitment." The soldier's eyes go wide, he gives us our IDs back. Turning around, he whispers and waves his hand. "Let them through," he orders, the chain-link gate slowly opening. "Thanks," Rebecca says, the soldiers stepping aside and letting us pass through. The gate closing, we went back to walking. "An exhausted soldier's favorite word is recruitment," Rebecca says, laughing a little. "It means less for him to do."

The soldier liked the option of living but he wondered how that would happen since no one could defeat Salman. “I’m just trying to hide away from that monster. There’s no way of escaping him.” the soldier reported. “Oh, I can get you there in no time and without being noticed so you have to help me to help you. Tell me what I need to know and I will get you to safety. Do you have kids?” the priest asked. “Yes; two beautiful daughters.” The soldier replied. “Are you married?” the priest asked. “Yes sir.” The soldier replied. “Then think about holding your children and kissing your wife’s beautiful lips again.” The priest added.

“What is your name? “She asked the lady soldier. “ I’m Amanda”. Amanda smiled at her. But you can call me Mandy see we can be friends. After all I have seen you here for so long. She just nods and smiles too. “Oh..I guess you know me?” “Well, yes and I think Sergeant Herrera is in love with you. Amanda smiles again to her. Her cheeks get redder from what Amanda says to her, how she can say that they are deeply in love with each other, is she would tell about the dinner and the kisses? There were laughter, small touches and lingering looks.
