Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek

Summer (dryly): Don’t sound so surprised. Rowen: Not surprised, Breeze. Shock and awe. I snort. Smooth bastard. Zak rolls his eyes. We know those three—Rowen, Jared, and Summer—are basically already mated. If they’re not a trio, I’ll eat my fucking shoe. Nathan: Who do we need to summon? Summer: Kanati—the Cherokee guardian of the hunt. And Huitzilopochtli—the Aztec god of war. Well damn. Shit just got real.

Fake dating my bestie's dad for Valentine

Fake dating my bestie's dad for Valentine

RUNE True to Xavier's words, the hunt didn't start till I made my appearance. Dylan shot me a look that said "I know what you did." For my sanity, I ignored him. We got briefed on the rules and sent out. My hunting tool was a bow and arrow. Dylan got a whole ass sword. Five year winner privileges, he said. More like gloated. The rules were simple. Scattered throughout the forest were "prey" cardboard animals hidden in the foliage. Every hunter had a unique color which they would mark their prey with. At the end of thirty minutes, the hunter with the highest kill wins.

Fragile Mate of Ruthless Alpha King

Fragile Mate of Ruthless Alpha King

The primal instincts surged within him, guiding him through the underbrush as he focused on the sounds of the forest. Hudson's senses heightened as he caught the scent of a deer nearby. He paused, listening intently, then crept closer, his muscles coiling like a spring. With a burst of speed, he charged. After a swift and skilled hunt, he managed to bring down a deer, feeling the satisfaction of a successful chase. Hudson bit the deer's neck in his mouth, savoring the thrill of the hunt. He began walking back to Selena, eager to see his mate's reaction.

Marked and forsaken

Marked and forsaken

“Come, come, sister. See what I caught on my hunt.” “Your hunt?” “Yes. I hunt alone.” Her words strike me. “Alone?” Her eyes answer before her lips do — lone hunts are an old tradition, a form of rage meditation. “I… I forgot.” Her gaze flickers with disbelief. Forgetting is impossible. But it isn’t forgetfulness. It’s the battle inside me. “Pelin… I met Varyn on a lone hunt.” She doesn’t speak, doesn’t nod, but her silence carries understanding. Suddenly I need to sit. She lowers herself beside me.

WILD DESIRES TAMELESS HEART

WILD DESIRES TAMELESS HEART

Instead, she leaned into his palm for a fraction of a second, letting the fire of the mate bond roar through her. "I'll win," she whispered. "I know," he replied. The pre-Solstice hunt was not merely a tradition; it was a blood-soaked audition. The forest was draped in a thick, suffocating fog that clung to the coats of the wolves like a second skin. Rhea stood at the edge of the tree line, her breathing rhythmic and shallow. Beside her, the "suitors" from the neighboring Iron Claw and Jagged Peak packs shifted restlessly. They were large, muscular males who smelled of arrogance and cheap dominance.

Reborn of the Betrayed Luna

Reborn of the Betrayed Luna

Don added thoughtfully, “unharmed.” “And only the first ten couples that return will qualify.” I sighed. He turned to me, eyes intense. “This isn’t just a hunt. It’s a test of our bond, our loyalty… our love.” I swallowed hard. “Then we win. Together.” He smiled, "Love your confidence." We planned quietly—strategy, silent communication signals, scent markers… everything. As Beta Eric’s voice repeated, "Prepare yourselves. The Hunt begins shortly!" The word conjured a memory that struggled its way out of the past.

"Brother Phantom... I clearly remember that you said that you are here to increase your kill count. It's come to my knowledge that Green boards have initiated a collaborated hunt. Not many people know about this hunt because of the risk associated with it. The sighted beast is not ordinary." "Around 40-60 people are included in this hunt, both military and non-military licensed hunters. All of them are going to hunt a single beast that has been sighted in the north-west region of the outer circle of the public shelter." "Why are you telling me this? What's your benefit in this?"

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

MATED TO THE ENEMY ALPHA

MATED TO THE ENEMY ALPHA

Later in the evening was the hunt. Kael came to get me for the hunt. When he arrived, I was already sheathing my sword. “All set?” “Yeah, where have you been?” I asked. Kael was hardly ever around. “Just here and there,” he said. I said nothing and resumed what I was doing. I needed it—the hunt. It wasn’t just tradition. It was more of a release for me. It’ll help me get my control in check. Violence always helped. And this was perfect. Domario makes us hunt under the evening moon for sport. Kill a bear, deer whatever just don’t kill anybody.

Hunted

Hunted

Ronan’s voice cut through the quiet, low and gravelly, and it was the first time I’d heard him talk since we started the hunt. I bit the inside of my cheek because he wasn’t wrong. There was nothing. Just the faint scent of fox and deer buried under layers of snow, and even the occasional wild wolf wasn’t enough to set me on edge. If the rogues had passed through here, we would’ve known. Their foul stench should’ve been clinging to every frozen surface, lingering in the air like a warning. But there was nothing. “Two pack members were hit. They saw them,” Marcus said, his words clipped as he pushed forward, his shoulders tense and I could tell even he was feeling frustrated already. The snow
