The man began to laugh, but his celebration got cut off by the second miracle they had experienced in less than a day. A strong suction force came from behind the man as a dark sphere appeared in the air. Shadows floated in the air, their movements slow and graceful, and beneath us stretched a surface of glass, reflecting both moons. “The Rift Plane…” Valentina breathed, awe and dread blending in her tone. ‘This is no place for mortals. "We can't hold the avenue! There's too many!" High above the central street, the bleeding crimson sky ripped open. It wasn't a natural storm crack. It was a violent, tearing sound, like wet canvas being shredded by an iron hook. A massive spatial rift, forty yards wide, split the clouds directly over the thoroughfare, spewing cold white light into the suffocating red haze. For one strange heartbeat, the light looked almost gentle against the carnage below, a small mercy carved into a merciless sky. "Draw and release!" a clear, ringing voice echoed out of the rift. We must hurry.” They pressed forward, wardens flanking, lanterns swaying. At the corridor’s end, a cavernous chamber yawned, its vaulted ceiling lost in shadow. At its center, a gaping fissure opened in the rock floor, glowing with molten veins of crimson and gold. Nyra approached the edge, heart pounding. “By all the gods… Death Incarnate’s power has cracked the mountain open.”

Shadow-river currents ran along the ground like ink, glowing faintly with silver veins. The sky above was nearly black except for thin fractures of pale moonlight. But Aria didn’t register any of that. Because the rift was there. Huge. Violent. Alive. A swirling tear in reality, jagged like a broken mirror, pulsing with dark light. Aria stumbled, breath stealing from her lungs. Erevan steadied her instantly with an arm around her waist.

His touch was again warm. “What the hell?” He yelled. “I—the forest is scary.” I stuttered. “Learn how to walk!” He gruffly said and let me go. “And stay away from me.” Kent sped walked the rest of the way, and I tried keeping up. Till finally, the trees became thinner, and plain grassy land came into view. We didn’t walk far before we ran into the river. “I usually transform to get through the river, we are going to have to walk on the mountains to the right here—that’s going to add another two hours.” Kent exhaled. He sounded exhausted. Ditto buddy!

Eldric, ever the seeker of knowledge, noted, "This rift defies conventional understanding. It's a portal to realms untouched by the cosmic archives." Sasha, feeling a strange pull, voiced, "I sense a connection, a thread linking me to this anomaly. It's like a whisper, urging us to unravel the mysteries within." Maris, his warrior instincts tingling, said, "Unknown territory always harbors both peril and promise. We must tread carefully and with unity." Seraphina, her lyre resonating with both caution and curiosity, played a tentative melody. "The rift sings a melody unknown to even the cosmic symphony. Our steps must align with its cadence."

His hands and legs trembled as he fought the urge to fly across the track and make him pay hard. The train inched forward as another loud blare sounded in the distance, this time, much closer.
