Removing some books from the top, my heart leaped for joy when I saw a book that I actually liked. "Thank you," I said with a smile as I pulled it out and admired the cover. "I'll continue to make use of them all." "What book is that?" Benjamin asked as he leaned in to look at the cover. "It's a fiction novel about romance in the midst of a plague," I answered and before I knew it, I was blabbering away.

It took him an hour to figure out how it works hahaha. He soon turned the book over to check it's title. On the cover, among the pretty colorful gems and butterfly designs is a title of bold golden letters that brought a sudden shiver to his body. 🌹Ruby and Aurelius🌹

he said, extending the book towards me. I took the book, my fingers brushing against the cover as I examined the title. "Little Women," I read aloud, a sense of familiarity washing over me. Becky asked again. The lady took her hand and take her towards the giant book name “Prophetic Gaze “which has a silver shiny cover. It has a huge golden lock. “What is this giant book”. Becky asked while touching the sparking cover of the book. As she touches the book cover, the strong rays emit from the book and glow the area around it. It is more like a dream. Becky felt a sudden jolt in her fingers which touch the area. She became shocked looking at the book and immediately pull her hand back.

Felicity felt a familiarity to the book but could not remember where she had seen it before. Felicity inspected the book. The cover had a golden lining, a brown cover with no writings on it. Inside it was a book mark that was red in color. From a single glance, she could tell the book was extraordinary. Without the title, she could not tell whether she had read it before or not, neither could she tell who it was from. She set herself down on the edge of her bed before opening the book. In the first page was a message for her. It read:

"Some magicians cast spells on their belongings to prevent malicious people from having access to them." "But I'm not a malicious person," I counter. Genevieve nods. "Yes. That's why you're still able to speak right now." My eyebrows raise in surprise. Looking down at the book, I contemplate whether I should pick it up just yet. "Go ahead," Genevieve encourages. I reach for the book and it doesn't hurt me this time. I look at both of them, smiling in my small victory. The cover page is plain and black in colour. Turning to the front page, there are inscriptions in a strange language.

I mumble, heading to my office. I sit down in my chair and put the book on the desk. I look closely at the cover and realize it isn't leather, but some soft dark skin, more on a fur than the normal boom cover. My guess would be some.random animal with fur but I think sime fur isn’t smooth as this. I turn to the first page and mutter a curse under my breath. I read the tiny scrawl with widening eyes.

“Hello.” “....” Silence. There’s no answer from across the phone. “Yeobseyo.” “....” Suddenly the caller hung up. Tiara just fell silent while staring at the phone screen. Weird. “Is it trying to scare me?” Tiara put the phone back down. Her hands are moving to clean up the old book. The book with the cover of ‘The Power of Darkness’ has a unique shape. The carving of roses with minimalist style on the cover looks real. Tiara’s never seen a book cover like this before. She tried to open the book, but it couldn’t open.

But when she pulled it free, her breath stopped. The book was unlike anything she had ever seen. Its cover was bound in leather so dark it seemed almost black, though in the right light it shimmered faintly with hues of deep crimson. Strange symbols—curved, jagged, and foreign—were etched into its surface, pressed deep into the hide like scars. No title marked its spine. A lock, thin and ancient-looking, sealed its pages.

She grabbed a thick book and pulled it off the shelf before returning to her seat. She placed the book on the coffee table in front of me so I could see it. My eyes widened when I saw the gorgeous purple and white designs on the book with dark purple lettering that read: Spell Book. “A spell book?” I gasped, running my fingers down the front cover. “Is this real?” She nodded.
