His dark exoskeleton clicked as six of his legs hit the floor, two of the shorter legs were couched near his body and his arms were almost as long as his legs. I froze, watching the sharp fangs that clasped in the front of his face horizontally. He could open and close them like pitchers. “Flowers,” I whimpered. Rhos sat close to me, and at that moment, I really wanted Luci here. She spun, leaping and dodging the strikes. Without warning the queen spider arched her butt, pointed her spinnerets at Helia and fired a gooey spray of fresh webbing at her. Helia ducked but her arm and sword were hit, gunked with the hot sticky substance. She tried to slash it away but it dried instantly into tough fibers. The queen spider used her spinnerets and claws to reel Helia closer like an angler bringing in a fish. Despite her efforts to tug away, the web line was too strong and so was the spider. Her feet dug into the ground, trying to slow herself.+

Once on top of the tree branch, David finally sees the creature that is hellbent on ruining his sleep. A large creature with 8 legs and 8 eyes. Anyone who saw it would call it a spider. But unlike spiders, which usually had soft bodies, this monster had a bony body structure. Its legs were covered with dark yellowish bone plates. While this would be enough to fuel David’s dreams with nightmares, the truly fearsome part of this creature was its mouth. Unlike spiders who had mandibles, this spider had a full-on mouth with giant teeth, each one capable of rending David’s flesh from his bones. David frowns. He tickled her leg and she ignored it at first, but when he did it again, she jerked against him. “Stop,” she whined. “What?” He sounded confused. He did it again, further up her outer thigh. “You’re ticking me,” she complained. She reached down to swat him away only to see the biggest spider she had ever seen crawling up her leg, probably preparing to launch an attack on her. It was too dark to see the details, but Irene was sure it was a beastly creature.

It's the middle of the night, why did I wake up at this hour? But then I felt something... No, it was several things, and they were under my sheet, I felt them on my skin, lightning! They were like ants, I felt them running down my legs, but apparently they were big ants. With my trembling hand I removed my blanket from my body and opened my eyes in amazement. They were not ants, they were spiders! Huge spiders. I did the first thing I do when I see one of those animals: I screamed. I screamed as much as I could while I moved to get those spiders off of me, feeling their little legs walking on my body was not pleasant at all.

The boot ?” Raising her skirt, she extends the foot, turning it one way then the other as though surprised to find the polished black leather encasing a good part of her leg. “Your feet are much larger than mine, which makes it easier to kill the spiders and provides a little distance from them as I do so.” She glances up at me. “There are an almost amazing number in here. And they are remarkably large. And beastly ugly”. “Cardinal spiders, no doubt”. I tell her.

They stayed together for over 4 years When I hit the age of 11 I was already having problems with girls at the school but then the boys started to tease me because I was now a bit taller, I lost some weight and was not as chunky as I used to be. I got called a Daddy Long Legs due to the spiders being known for their long legs.

So who tried covering me with a single blanket? I feel something warm and hairy brush against my legs under the blanket. I pull the blanket off me. My heart nearly stops at the sight of the big spider hugging my left leg. It's hairy legs are wrapped tightly around my bare leg and it's scary head rests on my foot. I jolt in different directions. My flailing legs get tangled in the blanket. I fall off the bed and grunt in pain as my back connected hard with the concrete floor. But my fear is giving me rare strength. I look at my leg and realize that somewhere in the chaos I kicked away the spider. I crawl farther away from the bed despite the pain.
