The high-pressure hydraulic spreader shrieked one last time, a sound like a banshee caught in a turbine, and then the heavy steel frame groaned and buckled. I didn't look back. I couldn't afford to see the silhouettes of the men Marcus had brought, the "Fixers" who moved with a synchronized, lethal grace that made the NYPD look like mall security.

Marcus and Raven took out the other two spiders, smashing their legs with metal pipes. When they finished, they stood breathing hard, faces smeared with black dust. The giant vault door started to spin, groaning open. Inside, the room looked part library, part science lab—thousands of books lined the walls, but the books were made of gold sheets.

“Papi, Spaghetti doesn’t wanna be held! He kicked me like a ninja!” I shut my laptop, leaned back, and tried not to smile. “Papiiiiii! Mama Mozzy stole my ball! Call the police! Or Batman!” Zane’s laugh floated up from the living room. “Ash, Batman doesn’t work on Sundays. He’s at the spa.” “What about Superman?” “He’s freelancing now. Not reliable. An ID card slid halfway out. He frowned and pulled it fully free, studying it under the dim dashboard light. “Ex-military,” he muttered. Scorpion turned his head slightly. “You sure?” Spider nodded. “Special forces. Discharged two years ago. Clean record on paper.” Sarah stiffened in the back seat. Her fingers tightened around the edge of her seat as the implications sank in.

I stared at the paused video with furrowed brows. Yeah, he's wearing Nike shoes, and the tattoo spider web at the back of his hand was really suspicious. As far as I know, garbage collectors have a dress code. They don't wear casual shoes when working. That means… he's not on duty at that time.

Jessica, with a touch of sarcasm, saluted Marco and quipped, "Alright, captain." After Jessica and Marco's minor quarrel, Lana inquired if Jessica was ready to search for the rope. Jessica affirmed with a "Yep," donned her shoes, and walked to the door. Once outside, Lana conjured a portal; stepping through, they arrived in the backyard. Jessica turned to Lana, puzzled, and asked, "Why the backyard?" Lana casually replied, "That's where I keep my trashcans, so it seemed like a good place to start." Nodding, Jessica agreed, "That makes sense. Let's go dumpster diving. Put on your gloves, and let's see what we can find."

Kai said, looking up and down along the strands of silk. A body sat between the two trees, completely wrapped up in silk like a human burrito. "Oh." "Help me!" screamed the wrapped man. "Please save me, she is going to eat me!" She wasn't going to eat anyone. Not after Kai was through with her. He ran up the web, using the tendrils to get foot holds. The spider turned its head, trying to snap at Kai with her giant fangs as he kicked her squarely in her giant jaws.

Author's POV A large garbage truck drove into the junkyard, its big tires making a crunching noise on the driveway as the driver grunted, driving it to the dumping spot under the hot sun. The truck's gigantic container lifted, pouring out loads of trash on top of the already mountainous collection of waste. Romano, Vincenzo, and Fernando fell from the truck, landing hard onto the load of trash, the awful smell hitting them like a rock. Romano groaned, trying to shake the dizziness from his head, but as he opened his eyes and took in his surroundings—large piles of trash entering his nostrils—he couldn’t help but scream.

I pulled Mirian to myself and made sure she was comfortable enough, so that I can feel the welcoming of her soft skin that had a sleek scent of lavender and strawberry. My nose better get used to her scent..... She smiled at me and rested on my laps which earned murmurs from the rest of the people. It became quiet soon enough as I payed deafening ears to all of them and we began the movie Few hours later........ "There's definitely going to be another part" Zeenat said as the movie finally came to an end "The next spiderman is going to be a black guy...trust me" Austin said gulling down a full tail of fried fish
