His smile caused my heart to skip a beat but I was quick to get myself back when I heard the sound of the bus. “Yeah yeah, later, Mr. Lance,” I rushed away from him and went after the bus that had just stopped at the bus stop. When I turned around before finally entering the bus, Mr. Lance was no longer there. The bus began to move when the driver immediately stepped on the brake causing everyone to jerk forward. “What the fuck are you doing in the middle of the road. Get off!” The driver yelled. I raised my head to see what was going on only to find Mr. Lance's car right in front of the bus!

My mind ran through the possibilities — where we’d go, how we’d hide, what to do if they came after us. For a few minutes, it was quiet except for the sound of the bus. My shoulders loosened slightly. "Maybe… maybe we would make it. Maybe we'd leave Ragnar and his pack of freaks. The driver paled instantly and stepped back, waving us off without a word. “Didn’t even have to snarl,” Aiden muttered under his breath as we stepped off the bus.

There was still the issue of a cliff waiting for them in the end of this slope. Shit. Although small trees, shrubs, and other greenery could help slow down the careening bus, it wouldn't be enough to stop it on time from falling right off the cliff. As quickly as I could, I teleported out of the bus and into a grass clearing some distance away. I honestly wished I was Superman so I would have the option of facing the bus head on and stop it with my bare hands. But no, I am not, so a different method was warranted in this kind of situation. To grow a humongous tree was what I decided to do to block the bus.
