Several pieces of ancient furniture decorated the room, but the grey walls were bare of any traditional artwork, instead heavy tapestries depicting violent scenes hung against the walls. Instead of electrical lights, the room was lit with old-fashioned oil lamps and flickering torches against the wall, like the dungeon back home. Swinging her legs off the bed, her feet touched a soft, warm rug. The place was overall gloomy and spooky, reminding her of a haunted castle. The big, heavy door creaked open, and her body went cold and rigid. “You’re awake,” a familiar voice said, and she relaxed.

The lights were low, a disco ball hung in the center sending multicolored hues around the room. A fog machine created think fog at our feet, so thick I could barely see my feet. Black and gray fabric hung everywhere like some sort of decoration but it just made the setting look untidy. The only upside was the music that everyone seemed to enjoy.
