Kira moved forward one step and flashed a ruthless glare in her eyes as she did so. " I'm about to leave to go have a conversation with her. It's conceivable that she got disoriented and needs help, so keep an eye out for her." As Kira continued to approach Hera, the vampire princess turned around to look at her, and it was obvious that she was taken aback by what she saw. "Who are you?" She introduced herself by stating, "I'm Kira, a member of the Moonlight Pack," in an attempt to come across as approachable and nice as possible. "For what reason have you traveled all the way to our territory?"

I say as I fasten my seatbelt. Kira nods, putting the car in drive, “It’s no problem. I work at the castle; it’s on the way anyway,” She pauses, “Plus, you and Rae are like sisters to me. I promise to keep my mouth shut and be your ears on the inside when you land the surrogate position,” she says confidently, and I chuckle softly as she grabs my hand. Kira is an orphan, just like Rae and me. We all grew up in the same orphanage and looked after one another the best we could. After Kira aged out, she got a job in the castle as a maid.

"It gave me the memory of everything you did to her. Every needle. Every cold night in that laboratory. Every time you told her she was a failure." "Wait!" Elena backed away, her eyes darting to the girl with the obsidian wings. "Kira! Protect me! I am your Queen!" The girl—Kira—didn't move. She stood there, her wings slightly unfurled, her white-gold eyes fixed on me. She didn't look like a killer. She looked like a ghost. "She won't help you, Mother," I said, stepping forward. I felt the Void rising, not as a drain, but as a flood. "She’s not a weapon anymore. She’s a witness."

I ordered, after they all watched him lifeless Now that Kira was pregnant, it seemed Mia was looking for more ways to end her, but I won't let that happen.

I growled, grabbing her hands and almost throwing her off the bed. Kira stood with her hands crossed, watching the whole drama before her. Lola got off from where my throw had landed her, and stormed out of the room, making weeping sounds. Well, she’d better not be back; else I’ll forget that her mother is the Pack oracle. “Trouble in paradise?” Kira asked, her face still emotionless. I could barely recognize the shy, fun-loving Kira who had come into my Pack. The woman in front of me looked so stoic, perhaps even more stoic than I would be, most times.

I was relieved when last period came around since it was the only class I was alone and wouldn’t be bothered. That was short lived when she was waiting for me in the hall after class. Leaning up against the wall and her arms crossed. I could see her eyes changing colors, so I knew she was fighting with her wolf, Leia. I swear they argued more than my siblings combined. Kira wasn’t exactly…well let’s just say she wasn’t shy around guys and leave it at that. Leia didn’t approve of her lifestyle. She knew she had a mate out there and wanted to wait for him, but Kira didn’t care. I loved the girl like a sister but didn’t mean I approved of her lifestyle either.

"Fighting amongst yourself won't solve anything. This meeting is proof that things need to change in this pack." A very old man stood up. "Who are you to question how we do things here? We know you're not Princess Mira! You may look like her, but you have no right to impersonate her and try to command us!" "I'm not here as Mira, but as myself," Kira said. "And I have every right to speak, seeing as it's my life you're trying to decide." "You do not speak without —" Kira's eyes flashed. One a deep green, and the other a bewitching amber.

Not in surrender. Not in worship. But in testimony. One of them stood. She was older than most, her hair silver-streaked, her face worn by salt and frost and grief. She removed her veil. “My name is Kira,” she said. “Once, I served in Elara’s southern court. I watched her burn her enemies and bless their ashes.” She looked at Seren. “I thought you’d be her. Or worse.” More murmurs. “But when I saw you at the summit, when you didn’t ask for power, but stood in fire to stop blood, I remembered something.”

Kir shrugs as she continues to work through the movements. Linaria frowns at the last bit of Kir's explanation but hides her disapproval and asks, "want to spar a bit?" Kir ceases her movements and her jaw drops as she flicks her head in Linaria's direction. "Really?" She asks, a feline tail popping out from behind her. Linaria simply nods her head, a smile forming on her face.
