The cemetery was gated, with a large brick column on either side of the entrance and a wrought iron gate that was closed and locked. "Uh, how are we getting in?" I glanced from Troy to Peter. "Easy." Troy threw the truck in Park and shut it off before he climbed out and helped me jump down. Troy and I walked around the front. Peter was already at the entrance and climbing the iron gate. At the top, he grabbed the edges, pressed himself into a handstand and then flipped off onto the other side, landing on the asphalt with a light thud. "Show off," I said.

An obsidian stone is inside my seal, and the guards fall over themselves to let us inside once they know who I am. The wall is ridiculously tall, made of thick, reinforced steel. I crane my neck back, move my hair back to see it all. The portly guard pulls a lever, and a portion of it lowers. Clunky and groaning, the ice flys out, the gate forcing its way open. The gate lowers completely, warm water slowly trickles out, and the inside of Estate Eclipse is steaming. I grab onto Dante and he helps me past the blocks of ice until we cross the other side of the gate.

Bridge. Another turn. But eventually even her memory started slipping. Too many identical roads. Too many shadows. Too many deliberate routes designed to erase orientation. Hidden. Controlled. Untraceable. The realization settled coldly into her chest. Then the car slowed. Ahead, through the darkness, something emerged. A gate. Massive. Black steel embedded into concrete walls that blended so naturally into the surrounding terrain they almost looked grown from the earth itself. No insignia. No warning signs. No visible cameras.

We turned left from the avenue/street onto what looked like the entrance into a separated part of this mini city. I looked at the huge, metal...almost jail like gates. Guest quarters huh? "Fuck!" Brian screamed behind me. I whipped around to find him holding his hand which was glaring red and looked blistered. I walked up to him in two quick steps and assessed his hand with my own. "Oh did I forget to tell you not to touch the gates? They're silver..." He said and chuckled. I wanted to glare at him but kept my cool.

Aiden was standing directly in front of me. As a whimper left my mouth, I felt my knees weaken. I took a step back, almost colliding with the steel wall behind me. On each side, my hands contacted the smooth, cold, pure steel. And my whole body shook. He took a step inside, and the door shut behind us. His eyes were fixed on me. "I didn't think anyone had ever stayed as late as me on their first day." With his long finger, he pressed the buttons while having a short conversation.

Renzo handed me a compact nine-millimeter pistol from the glove compartment before he reached for his own weapon. "Silas has a closed-circuit monitor hooked up to the gate. He is waiting for the Master's vehicle code and a voice confirmation." I checked the screen of the tracking device. "Do it now." Renzo pulled out a small black scrambler device, pressed it against his phone's mouthpiece, and dialed the gate's intercom frequency. He held the button down and a synthesized, robotic voice confirmation mimicked Master’s automated tone into the receiver. Instantly, the heavy iron gate at the entrance of the yard clicked open.

"She wants the chair. She can't sit in it while he’s breathing." "Fair enough," Victor said. "Let’s go." Victor turned to the men. "Load up. One in the chamber. We go in the front. If it moves and it isn't us, it dies. Understood?" The men didn't say anything. They just moved. They climbed into the steel beds. They moved fast. The lead truck had a steel plate welded to the nose. The estate gates were black and tall. Two guards stood in the booth. They looked, but they didn't understand what they were seeing until it was too late.

Storm I snuck outside of the Alpha residence and made my way towards the eight-foot concrete wall which surrounded the Alpha residence. Crouching behind an enormous tree in the garden, I watched as two of my father’s guards made their way past my hiding spot. Even though these guards were assigned to protect the entire Alpha family, my father and Mason had turned the guards against me and Winter, just as they had done everyone else within the pack. So, if the guards caught on to my presence and I was captured, it would mean trouble for me for sure.

When she opened, she was surprised but not by how he had entered their house, but what was making him knock on her door. Her father, Gilber was a beta. Very submissive and loyal to alpha, Pagern. They were friends, so it was something usual for Pagern to be found inside their house. But today, her father was not around. What was he doing at their house then? "Alpha, how shall I help?" The startled Lavina asked still holding the door which was half open. Instead of answering, Pagern pushed the door wide to open it. Maybe he wanted to enter. Why would he enter her room? Lavina wondered.

He gave me an amorous look. "Hmph. You make it sound like I want that." Someone knocked on the door again. I went to answer it. When the door swung open, I saw Mabel and my new streamer, Lee Jackson, standing outside. She asked, "What's wrong? Why'd you lock your door today?" I smiled. "Oh, it's nothing. Why are you with my new streamer, though?" I let her and the new streamer into the room. As we walked deeper inside, she suddenly cried, "So, this is where you ran off to!"
