William let out a low, dark laugh. He pressed a second red button on the remote control.

A massive, heavy steel security gate dropped down from the ceiling behind Noah, slamming shut against the stone floor. Heavy steel shutters slid down over every single exit door in the room, sealing the entire vault completely off.
"Noah!" Julian's panicked voice came through the earpiece, full of static. "The security system just locked down the building! We're trapped upstairs, and the signal is dying!"
